**Sunset on the Shiigeru**

_Ragged clouds drift amid the onrushing night_  
_In the ebbing sun gossamer flaring bright_  
_Scattered blossoms in a gloomy vastness_  
_Darksome isles bearing silent witness_

_The bones of the planet raw, exposed, bleeding_  
_Fissures glimmering, red wounds weeping_  
_Poison and noxious flame into this ailing world_  
_Tendrils of man’s rage writ in vapors swirled_

_Spirits must yet wander those weeping ravines_  
_Lost amidst the exhaust of broken dreams_  
_The doomed heirs of a world divided_  
_By their legacy generations shall be guided_

_But death and catastrophe do not rule the expanse_  
_Alighting on crimson scars is fresh verdance_  
_From afar beams of effervescent glow wafting_  
_Defiant, shining pillars of new cities rising_

_As peace flows, soft and subtle through my veins_  
_I lie awake, thoughts on monumental remains_  
_In service and sacrifice, can one aspire to burn so bright_  
_As here the Caldari yet do, through the long night?_
