More like “social media and people suck”. As said people will cry and whine about anything and then this happens:

People stop listening. It’s also why devs don’t use the EVE forums much, Reddit is its own type of hell but at least there the incessant annoying whiners get downvoted to fck regardless of how many spam replies it gets (of the usuals).
