Little is known about about the individual that calls himself Donkyhotay. He was found in the outskirts of the New Eden galaxy in a badly damaged ship with strange technology. He says he is an explorer from a distant region of space. When asked for details he describes star systems that don’t match any known maps. The Intaki ship who found him salvaged the remains of Donkyhotay’s ship as payment for passage to Gallente space so any clues that may have existed there were lost to a reprocessor.

At times he talks as if he has been on Old Earth but says his original home was a planet called Laman’cha. He is often seen wearing armor and prefers using a sword as his personal weapon. He is very protective of his helmet which he describes as ‘golden’ though it appears to be made of brass. He often tells a story about losing his original ship, not the one he was found in, in a battle against an enemy called the O’gurr long ago. He generally names his flagship after it.
