The purpose of the EVE Online forums is to provide a platform for shills to exchange ideas, and a venue for the gas-lighting of the EVE Online player base. Occasionally there will be conflicts that arise when people discuss facts that contradict the lip service paid by the CCP staff. Forum users are expected to be courteous when shilling with others.
In order to maintain an environment where everyone is shilling and discussion doesn’t criticize CCP, certain types of conduct are prohibited on the EVE Online forums. These are:
- Holding CCP accountable for anything
- Expecting CCP to read or respond to your post
- Asking for clarification regarding information we know CCP has access to

You gotta understand that ISD hands are most likely tied in this regard. I don’t think Dorrim necessarily wants to lock most of the threads he locks, but he has to. There’s very likely a mandate passed on from above to keep the forums in a state of general positive outlook toward the game.
