Barely Effective prides itself on having a positive, friendly and welcoming atmosphere where anyone can thrive. Drama is not part of our ethos; we stand by those who stand by us. We understand that EVE is a game and should be enjoyed as such.
Whilst our primary focus as a community is to seek out player-vs-player content, we accept every form of gameplay and we encourage our members to engage in a wide variety of activities!

Encouragement - We have a robust social space and we aim to expand that. We want our members to feel heard and uplifted, and our members are given the opportunities to help shape the corporation and it’s direction.
We don’t ask for much from our members, a positive and strong mindset on a personal level but an interest in PvP is essential. We are a mature community who understands that our members are often busy professionals tackling careers with families and other personal obligations.
Our ideal members:

Maturity - Ideally aged 18 and over. A mature attitude with a strong, positive mindset is important.

Participation - Regular player-vs-player with a willingness to participate, get involved and interact in a positive, amicable way. We don’t like “participation metrics” and we endeavour to stay away from such things where possible.

ESI - A full ESI for all characters on our corporation, alliance and coalition services. An active role on our Discord is important for us to grow as a community.

- To create an environment where members feel welcomed and encouraged in whatever path they choose. We aim to strike a strong balance between PvP and PvE, with a primary focus on PvP we won’t compromise our desire for our pilots to chase their interests at their own free will.
