I would like to present some hypotheses I have read, or developed myself, about the function of the nexus structures and the meaning of the symbols and illustrations shown in the montage outlining the Drifters’ plan.
- First, what is the meaning of the vortex in the middle of the 5 nexus structure symbols shown in the second phase illustration? Some think it could be:
- Zarzakh
- The Sleepers’ homeworld, with maybe some kind of giant Sleeper enclave or an entire planet transformed into a super-computer.
- The third Jovian Empire’s territory.
- The Drifters’ HQ, with maybe some kind of giant Drifter hive.
According to these theories, the nexus structures could serve as a portal to Zarzakh, Third Empire space, or the Sleepers’ homeworld by bypassing their defenses. Perhaps it could simply be a map of Drifter space with their headquarters at the center.
- Now let’s talk about the symbol illustrating the third phase. Some think it is:

Just the symbol of the Third Empire, potential proof that the Drifters want to go to their space in case they lose their five hive systems, or retrieve something that would help them.

The symbol of the “Finite-Infinite”, mentioned in Yosef Okada’s journal as well as in the “Gleaned Directive.”

I’ve seen people say that the description of this “Finite-Infinite” is similar to the symbol of the Third Empire. If this symbol is indeed used to represent the Finite-Infinite, that could indicate that the Drifters want to reclaim or obtain it, whatever it is, for their plans.
Regarding the fourth phase’s illustration, I think it could represent planned and decisive attacks on the empires, perhaps they are linked to the “Visions of Doom” or “Doomsday scenarios” that some fear might become real.
