Here we grow again!

Since there has been quite a bit of interest recently: Here is our full recruitment post as also seen on reddit. It gives you an overview of what we are about, and what will be expected of you when you join a corporation that is part of The Initiative.

Close Encounters of the Eve Kind, CEEK, is looking for more people to enjoy the game together

  • Sov 0.0, living in Fountain as part of The Initiative [INIT.]

  • Alliance warfare/whaling fleets/sneaky stuff/guerilla warfare/roams/home defense (we get lots of roaming visitors coming right to our doorstep - sometimes they also take the ESS doorknobs with them when they leave) - lots of opportunities to undock and make use of your characters’ combat skills, from inties and dictors to (covert) T3 cruisers and Triglavian/Edencom ships; capital pilots always sought after on alliance level.

  • Core corporation membership & Leadership is USTZ, with a dash of EUTZ. Currently 4-10 people on comms between later EU afternoon to evening into USTZ. The alliance is EU-heavy, but offers fleets and content across all timezones.

  • We have no specific skillpoint requirement, but Omega is required.

  • In practice, you’ll need to be able to at least fly an Interceptor/Interdictor and/or Kikimora/Stealth Bomber to be able to participate in alliance fleets and be training towards either T2 Logistics Cruisers or Heavy Assault Cruisers to be able to fly the current doctrines.
If you are lower SP but already fly logistics cruisers and frigates and enjoy doing that, you will always be very welcome in almost any fleet - and often see me/my dedicated logi alt with you in the logi channel

  • PVE/Industry/Market Opportunities: We’re in a very well-run sov null alliance in bountiful space, pick your way to make isk, it’s all here. We are currently looking to expand our industry output and welcome Industrialists and Miners. Corp and Alliance Moons to mine, low-tax industry structures and PI planets ready for you to make use of, as well as access to all of Fountain for PVE - no systems that are “off limits” or similar silliness.

  • Excellent alliance logistics, infrastructure and organisation both in and out of game. Corp and Alliance leadership that puts in a lot of effort and plays to pvp.

  • Supportive Corp Environment: We will happily assist you in your steps further into the game as a newer player, and bring you up to speed if you are returning to the game, as well as help and advice in getting set up in our home.

  • Requirements we have:

  • Discord, Mumble (including a proper microphone/headset) and full ESI access for ALL your characters provided to INIT. Alliance Auth.

  • Creation of a free Alpha character [will never have to be Omega], as fall-back doctrine for the alliance.

  • Be active (= play several times per week, in practice), be on voicecomms and be eager to join fleets when you can and you will find a likewise active environment to participate in  Undock and see the magic happen - or become part of someone else’s trick, that is also part of the experience.

  • Alliance requirement is participation in 15 fleets over a period of 3 months - no PVP deadweights allowed.

  • Basic experience with PVP fleets and desire to participate in them as you have time. Willingness to learn and adapt.

  • PVP-oriented mindset. ISK is literally freely generated by the game for you to collect in many possible ways, so you shouldn’t be afraid to lose some again in the form of a glorious explosion. Also, having all this space to live in means we have to be ready to defend it

  • Opportunities to take part in all kinds of alliance-level actions, defend the Fountain of Life, head on roams and to get your krabbing on are plentiful, if you so desire. But all of us have busy lives and are not interested in making eve (y)our second job.

  • However: It will be expected of you to keep up-to-date on current activites of the alliance, adhere to its rules and “follow orders”, such as having doctrine ships ready to go and participating in deployments. If you just want to make ISK and be left alone: Please find a different corp/alliance to join.

  • To quote our relentless alliance leader, Dark Shines: “We are not a casual alliance.” There will be pings, regular ESI checks to see if you’ve got your stuff sorted and FCs calling you out if you are sloppy. But you will also find a very dedicated corporation and alliance [leadership] that will provide you with all the tools needed to bring your A-game.

  • What does CEEK do, day in day out?

  • We hang out on Mumble, chat, fool around, mine and build, make isk, go on fleets (some more, some less), chase intruders to get fights (some more, some less) and get better at PVP, and strive to maintain an environment where everyone feels welcome and can enjoy Eve to the fullest.

  • Who are the people of CEEK?

  • People from all walks of life, from those who take care of their family first and foremost, over business professionals to your resident slacker, me (that’s how I have time to post so much. A terrible habit, to be sure).

  • Killboard: Close Encounters of the EVE Kind | Corporation | zKillboard

If you are interested, please contact us ingame, either via one of our recruiters or the ingame channel “CEEK Recruitment”, and we will take it from there. Recruitment is selective.
