High-Sec Buyback and Low-Sec Buyback Shutdown

Today I’m making the tough decision to shut down Highsec Buyback and Lowsec Buyback. Both projects are run by an incredible team of dedicated people, and I am very grateful for all the work they have done! However I’m the bottleneck for the software side and the asset consolidation, for which I don’t have the capacity anymore.

Some logistics:

  • I will not hand the corp or software over, but can give advice to anyone who wants to start their own buyback, and I will happily link to them on the shutdown notice.

  • Plex Buyback is not affected, and will continue since it’s much smaller and soooo much easier in terms of logistics and software required.

shame this was the only service that i used to sell my loots and stuff, i have over 200 billion in stuff that wont ever sell now, thats a shame.

Always sad to see an actual useful service go but understandable,health and real-life comes first so if you can no longer do it this is the reasonable choice.

Same goes for not sharing the details and such, you developed and made it happen after all so why hand it out for free. Though maybe it could be possible to sell it off for a good chunk of ISK? Just a random thought.

Either way people can develop and put in the effort if they want to replace the gap you leave behind, nobody’s owed a free handout like that.

Personally I’ve shared my business endeavor’s brief overview back in the days just for educational purposes and so when others consider such an in-game activity they can have some basic info about it.

As well as about an unorthodox field of business as well:

So in the end others could benefit from a brief overview even just as a curiosity or outright contemplating entering the business.

As you no longer do it and you don’t reveal trade secrets nor the actual software used I think it is reasonable to expect no harm in case you decide to share the basics.

Sad to see you guys go. i personally will be starting down this path that you people have walked for so long and will try my best to be close to as good a service you guys were.
