I regret to inform that we still don't die enough

Hisec. High Security. The concept that at least in theory there’s more safety there.

Nullsec. No security. No “laws”. You chose to live there so don’t cry about it.

Not all whining is about risk.

Most of the recent high-sec whining has been about income.

I wasn’t crying. I was saying that just to show how different eve is from other pvp games.

I love where i live and have no complaints about the conditions or what i have to do.

Everything you said in that post - From repeating what I said to your last comment about me not playing the game simply confirms.
You’re still just a troll… BLOCKED for another 6 months

17,000 kills over 4 chars - I wouldn’t say I’m “anti” anything, except possibly anti moron.

ROFL. That you Drac? Thank you tho, cause I’m literally cackling.

Curious tho, what made you choose 6 months? What is your algorithm for deciding ROFL.

If I’d owned you less, would it be 3? LOL.

Sad thing seems like we still don•t die enough … since OP created…

Maybe everyone currently playing does die enough, the issue might be the concurrent login numbers are lower which would have an effect on pvp. what do you think?

Sgt Ocker used to have an unrealistic view of this game with his 15 accounts and 45 characters. He was very upset when the jump changes came and I think he’s been bitter about Eve ever since. And then he wants to call me a moron.

I’ll give you a little credit here- You are elite at reading between the lines to come to your own conclusions.

You are the one who took what I said and applied it to you.

Oh and just to be clear, I never said I had 45 characters OR that I was bitter about the jump changes. I actually quite liked the jump range nerfs but like many wasn’t too happy about the original fatigue mechanics, which are in a pretty good place now.
Again sadly you aren’t reading what is written.

I see you “still” like changing the context of others posts to further your own failures as a poster… Once a troll always a troll I guess…

You didn’t have to say it, your 80+ whine posts in the jump changes thread a while back showed me how bitter you were/still are.

You’re not remembering it right. I was posting alternatives to the then state of fatigue along with many others. Oh and it was only 26 posts over about months sooo…
I also posted about moon mining changes removing conflict drivers, was I whining then or did it turn out to be true.

Lets really test your memory. What about my posts regarding the Rorqual changes and how they would be bad for the game in the long run…

If you’re going to try and use my posting history as a weapon against me - Get it right.
But getting it right would mean you’re still just an alt of a nameless troll.

I was pointing out your perception of the game was unrealistic due to you having 15 accounts and then complaining like you did when things didn’t go your way.

How is me telling you your perception of the game is unrealistic a weapon? If you choose to whine on this forum then you shouldn’t be surprised when people read what you type and come to a conclusion about you and your game style.

Maybe it’s time you just left the game if you are still bitter about Eve.

I am no alt this is my main, feel free to find me in Stain F9SX-1

No. Those numbers are key. Check the posts with actual statistics. And, perhaps there is stuff going on that can make some people “happy” with it. The point is, I rather see it --destruction-- applied by players, as the game claims to be.

To all,

Please try to have your personals somewhere else. I bet there are some who would like to know what’s going on and voice their valid opinions but with this unshaved parts check constantly going on, I’ll have to request to close the thread. My time is limited and I’ve been trying really hard to attend my responsibility as OP.

I hope you all understand. THX

Hold on, are you saying lower concurrent login numbers WOULDN’T affect the amount of destruction in game?

Also another point to consider, Eve has been around a long time now. Is it a possibility that most of the player base has become wise to all the pvp tricks, ganking, and pvp hotspots and are able to effectively avoid losing their ships?

Lets get real here I have a quick example, there is only so many times players will fall into a rorqual or similar bait right? At some point a fleet will come across a rorqual and say lets not engage it’s a trap. To me this would be normal as it is the natural progression of human behavior to learn and avoid hazzards. What do you think?

Or could it be manufacturing changes that have made the remaining players operate with extra caution?

One can look at stats and graphs all day, however that exercise would be useless if one doesn’t consider aspects of human behavior (trick me once but not twice etc) and having a good level of knowledge about Eve and being prepared to listen to others if they don’t possess the knowledge or experience.

Not at all. I have not mentioned logins or anything alike. Please read the posts regarding PVP statistics.

Those percentages are a sad picture of a PVP game. I did not want to bring them because of reactions like yours.
People tend to twist facts more likely with numbers in front. It’s strange and counterintuitive, but facts are facts.

Please take a closer look at the posts near this one^^^^

And in regards of your question, the correct answer is no. A percentage is what it is, so concurrency variations will not reflect in direct proportion to in game activities unless you get crisis level populations which if up, more systems and constellations would be added and if low, the game would have then, truly died.

Reactions like mine? I ask questions so there is no misunderstanding… Is that a problem for you? I am in no shape or form trying to twist facts, I am just asking you a question so that I can effectively respond to you. So I will ask again.

What is your opinion on concurrent login numbers and do you feel that they have any effect on the point of this thread?

This is not a trick question, nor is it a bait, nor am I assuming I know your answer, it is just a question.

I don’t know about that. Based on the number of posts that pop up every day from people who claim to be multi year vets yet still are shocked when their skiff gets dumpstered 2 jumps from Jita, I would think that quite a few people have to relearn those lessons daily.

Adaptation is quick these days.
Too quick to be left to free will. I speculated about possible implementation of mechanics that allow true element of surprise which could then, allow variations that the code cannot provide.

It’s still a closed environment. Everything that happens in it, is allowed or encouraged to.

Yes, because:

I did not.

These are typical reactions to numbers.

Yes, when questions are result of conductive reasoning after a false premise.

I understand your perspective. Here is the answer:
Concurrency has nothing to do with activities unless the levels fall below sustainability. If that is your set of premises for the argument, they don’t fit.
The presented statistics are percentages, they are the constant for the case. It doesn’t matter if it’s 10k or a billion, 13.8% is what it is.

Keep in mind I also mentioned I have little clue about data gathering for those numbers, as I know the true data cannot be extracted. We all know --and I hope you agree-- that in most cases one side had no intention of engaging in PVP, so… as the post I fetched informed, there are factors to subtract from that percentage.

The point of the thread is to reflect on what the true concept of destruction is, as it’s being proposed by the game developers --for a couple of years now–.
To understand that the required levels have not been achieved. --and we have discovered here, that not only those levels have not been reached but the PVP title itself is at risk, based on those numbers, not on the game’s nature–.
To listen what people say about it when we explore destruction as a PVP game should be.–This was collateral, not intentional on the OP–
To receive input regarding the chances of destruction being provided by PVP under the scope of what it means to die in EVE.–Bingo! NO ONE WANTS TO DIE!–
To have fun with trolls now and then.–Mea culpa!. I DO like playing the troll game, even under risk of shutdown. People need a relief.–
