Suggestion: Ability to set length and price of orders in multibuy like how the sell window works.
Keywords: UI, multibuy, market
Note: Useful for industrialists and marketeers who want to buy things via buy orders and not the stuff from sell orders. Right now if you want to buy multiple items via buy orders you have to view each individual item and go through the buy order window for every single item.
Suggestion: Allow dragging buy or sell orders from the “Your Market Orders” window straight to the market quickbar and add those items.
Keywords: UI, Market, Usability
Note: This would be such a time saver. If I want to add a bunch of items to my quickbar now I have to go find them (search the market, or double click the order for the item in my orders window) then drag each icon to the quickbar one at a time. Dragging orders directly from my buy/sell order list would let me take a bunch of items that I’m trading currently and add them all to a quickbar folder in seconds.
Being able to group indy modules and ungroup them, similar to the way you can group weapon systems.
Keywords: UI, industry, Usability.
Ie being able to group strip miners, mining lasers, salvagers, gas harvesters etc, it allows people flexability as it how people want things, example, someone mining with strip miners could be mining 2 rocks, 2 strips on one, 1 on the other and as one starts running low, they could ungroup, focus on the second rock and group it with the 3rd strip miner on the 2nd rock, grouping salvages how you like, so you could go for paired salvagers on wrecks etc.
Currently their generally frequently unused, and as far back as I can remember, they haven’t had any kind of rebalance pass made over them, this is similar to the way void and lock braker bombs for a while got rendered obsolete, though lock breakers could still do with redoing, as this was something that wasn’t changed etc when the focused void bombs were introduced.
Combat scanner probes, Currently when you scan something down to 100% it does NOT stay scanned down, currently unlike cosmic sigs (NOT talking about ships) , an example of this would be, I drop combat probes on planet 1 and scan at 1au or 0.5 AU, and scan down a pos and modules, then move my probes to planet 2 and scan again, (with say planet 1 within the scan range, like some systems planet 1 and 2 are close together on the system map etc) the probes lock down a pos at planet 2 but the results for planet 1 are now not at 100% instead maybe 25%.
This is annoying when your probing in a system trying to see what additional infrastructure is in the system.
currently if you are above the beacon, with the beacon selected, if the name etc is below you, all you see is beacon (xyz faction, size, nvy-1 etc) and can not see the timer because at that point its off the bottom of the screen, having it move to accommodate where on the screen the beacon text is, so that you can see the timer regardless would be helpful
I happen to think this could all be solved simply by replacing the square icon for gates on route with a circle, then square can be for docking, full square NPC station, empty square player station.
Yes, I know that. That feature should be replaced with what I’ve suggested, because it provides more direct information and makes gameplay more fluent - you won’t have to hover over an icon, then wait for a very thin line to show up and pulse, since it’s barely visible otherwise. The information would be right there.
That’s strange, I can successfully set my station containers in fitting & simulation modes and use equipment contained therein without problem
Ready to fit:
What the Info icon shows as an explanation to that message?
And are you 100% sure you use Station containers type and not the Standard container type? I haven’t checked it yet if it is any different.
So this is just a bug with saved fitting one-click fit, right?
I’ve noticed the container name in the screen with an error message is named Fittings while on your other screeen there is no such container. Could it be that you saved your fitting when you had a container with that name and changed it later? And the fitting can’t find it? Or both screens are from different stations?
