Resist now

This is a VOF breaking news broadcast. Fellow capsuleers I must speak against the current aggression by the State in Syndicate. Yes there were non aggression agreement’s made and they invited the State into Syndicate in a small part of Syndicate. I believe the syndicate is an excuse for State expansion which is a distraction. Internal security should be prioritized over vendetas against a small group that isn’t a threat to the state. I call on all non Caldari aligned groups to form an alliance of the willing. With my Gallente FIO contact I believe with their backing and the support of the Minmatar and the Thukker the Caldari State aggression can be countered. Act now or you might be next.

That’s going to be a tough sell, though I won’t rule anything out, I must remind you that times have changed.

The Federation was, as of my last understanding, in the “advanced stages” of negotiating a nonintervention treaty with the Amarr Empire, despite it’s support of slavery and it’s intention of Reclaiming other sentient life in the galaxy.

The signing of the Treaty of Airaken was, in my view, a clear sign of respect between our peoples. The Caldari showed courage signing that and therefore damaging relations with the Empire.
Furthermore recent contact between State capsuleers and the Minmatar community has been respectful and even mutually helpful on a small scale in a way I’ve missed from our Federation “allies” despite open (including on this very Summit) calls for exactly that.

Expecting support of the Minmatar now would be asking to throw all that progress out the airlock for an “ally” who, at minimum, has come close to signing agreements not to intervene in the case of hostilities. I’l try to confirm what actually came of that. But anyway.
All on the assumption that the State is wicked for its takeover of Syndicate space and the governments of Syndicate are not complicit, or that it was only a small group of actors that does not justify an invasion.
And I don’t think it behooves us to violate a treaty of non-agression forged between the Sanmatar and the Chairman, even if it’s only in spirit through technically unbound capsuleer intervention rather then in letter. The last thing our people should be, in my view, is fair weather allies. A treaty signed should be adhered to with honor. Not to the point of tolerating evil, but at least in my view, we’re not there yet by far.

So what does the FIO know that I don’t?
I’l be in touch. We owe the Federation a lot, so I don’t want to slam the door shut without a good and honest conversation over something strong if they really want something, but understand that the fog of war plus past (in)actions cause some problems here.

Times have changed. But I agree the people of Syndicate should be free to govern themselves. So long as they do not engage in acts of aggression against other governments unprovoked.

Oh look, more Federation fear mongering. Yes, I’m sure your FIO handlers are salivating at the thought of expanded influence and power in the Syndicate, they’ve been trying to worm their way into the area for a long time.

How honorable of you, to try and rope Minmatar pilots and crew into this to act as your meat shield. I’m sure if any of them perished while under your direction, the FIO would use it as even more ammunition to drive a wedge between the State and the Republic.

I would caution any Republic pilots to ignore this tripe.

There’s not been any sign of aggression, outside of what you’d expect in isolated pockets as normal. While I don’t agree with the annexation, I do not believe now is the time to take up arms and expand a war which would at such point place the civilian populace in the crossfire.

I shoot anything that moves anyway, not much has changed to me!
