UPDATE: I have found a corp to join.
To Whom It May Concern:
Greetings, capsuleers! I’m a new player in the Pacific Time Zone (UTC-8/7
) looking to join an ambitious corporation that values innovation and strategic advantage. While I’m still exploring various in-game roles, my primary goal is to find a community which can utilize my unique skills.
What I Bring to the Table:
I work professionally as an Embedded Software Engineer at a major tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area and have had many past stints at smaller startups. I have a strong background in building backends from the ground up and miss the opportunities to “Just write code” that those startups offered.
Math is fun, and I think after my spouse called EVE “Spreadsheet Simulator” I got motivated to give it a proper try. Within my first couple weeks of gameplay I already developed a personal calculator to help optimize some of my solo industry operations.
Does it count as gameplay if you are writing code for the game?
I’m eager to apply my software engineering skills to create bespoke, secure tools to lead my corporation to victory.
I just need the corporation
What I’m Looking For:
- Motivation and ideas for development.
- A team that values innovation.
- Voice chat and active community. I want the social aspect. I want to be part of something.
- Women friendly.
- Chances to try new things in-game.
- High-trust environment.
Availability:
- Somewhat casual hours. I have a day job, a spouse, and sporadic side projects.
- Evenings and weekends.
- Willing to move home systems, chose the Caldari start and currently in-and-around Jita.
- Still have lots of unallocated skill points waiting to decide how to specialize, currently training somewhat general things that are always good to have.
Next steps:
If this sounds interesting, if you are enticed by the above, good. It is an advert, so congrats to me I guess.
I want to know what “Winning EVE” means to your corporation and how I would fit into that.
Sincerely,
Eadwina Von Carvorex
