I’ll start you at 50

Thank you for the interest, but I am not willing to let this character go for anything less than 70b. I am willing to wait for someone who is happy with this price.

No worries, not exactly what i’m after so not for me at that price but good luck.

I think 50bil was a good offer

Hi, I had a proper look through your character, and here’s my honest assessment:

:+1: Strengths

  • Very strong core support skills (Engineering, Targeting, Navigation).

  • Missile tree is well developed with great support skills.

  • Armor/Shield compensations maxed → flexible tanking base.

  • Cloaking V + full Scanning suite (7M SP) → one of the best explorers/scouts I’ve seen.

  • Solid PI block (2.4M SP) for passive income.

:-1: Weaknesses / Overdone areas

  • Scanning (7M) and PI (2.4M) are great, but these are usually trained on cheap alts — here they take up a huge portion of SP.

  • Neural Enhancement (~2M) feels over-invested compared to what’s normally needed.

  • Spaceship Command (~11.5M) is very broad, but not focused into strong PvP lines like HACs, Recons, or dictors.

  • Drones (3.6M) are mid-level, missing Heavies, Sentries, and Fighters.

  • Gunnery (6.5M) has excellent supports, but lacks depth into T2 medium/large guns.

:light_bulb: Overall Impression

As a PvP character it’s flexible, with great utility (scout/explorer/tackle/missile hulls), but it doesn’t feel tightly focused. A lot of the SP is tied up in areas most players would keep on separate alts, which makes it harder to justify at the higher price point.

I was interested at first, but after reviewing I won’t be bidding. One thought — which I don’t always recommend, but could help here — would be to extract some SP from the overdone areas (Scanning, PI, Neural Enhancement) and reinvest into a clearer PvP direction. That would make the character more attractive to buyers and more effective if you continue using it yourself.

Hope that feedback helps :+1:

Uhhh….

Heavies, mediums, sentries….heavy guns and HACs/Dictors?

Clearly skilled for frigate/destroyer play per the title. I mean I like the analysis post but you missed the point by miles.

Hello,
I appreciate the analysis, but the point of this character is to be a frigate/destroyer all-rounder. I have not advertised it as anything other than this, and agree that you have missed the point.

Why would fighters be trained when the character is a Frigate/Destroyer pilot? You may as well say that JDO/JDC 5 and carrier skills are also a weakness if you consider not having fighters trained a weakness.

The character is a frigate/destroyer character. This is why Heavies, Mediums, Sentries, Medium/Large guns, HACs etc. are not trained.

I also do not believe this is a higher price point, considering I am asking less than 1b ISK per million skill points.

When u get to 70m sp toon and have

  • Scanning (7M) and PI (2.4M) and Neural Enhancement (~2M)

Those to me are just wasted. I wouldnt even take those skills for free.

Also clearly the market has spoken. No offers above 50b. I might be wrong and happy to be proven wrong.

“…to me those are wasted…”

Let me help you since you apparently can’t form a cohesive thought without AI. As a baseline every character should strive for Biology V and Cybernetics V. That’s over 1.1m alone in Neural Enhancement alone. Adding any amount of jump clone utility, booster side effect reduction et al is going to push 2 million. The skills here are not unreasonable for a toon setup to PvP and use boosters to gain those little edges.

As for scanning…I have a pretty reasonable scanner and it has around 5m SP in that bucket. I don’t do hacking and archaeology, so that’s a 1.5m difference. Everyone values scanning differently, but I still don’t think it’s totally unreasonable. If anything, it leaves some Level 5 fruit to be picked with extractors.

Yeah I’ve tried to be nice about this. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, so let’s go.

Why did you call the PI block a strength and now you’re criticizing it? Or did you not read what the AI spat out?

As @Miss_Stardust said, Neural Enhancement is Biology 5 and Cybernetics 5, with jump clone capabilities and booster side effect reduction. Even if you ignore the booster and jump clone skills, training Biology 5 and Cybernetics 5 at no time have ever been called wasted skill points.

Scanning is trained to 5 because I like to scan. Most of the time even without a relic/data analyzer and I just scan wormhole chains for the sheer hell of it. But when I do want to make some ISK, I can just faceroll over my keyboard with a Buzzard, Zeugma and Blackglass with these skills.

This character is a frigate destroyer character (just thought I’d remind you about this, because your AInalysis criticised the character not having any skills contrary to what it was trained for) and as the best scanners come from frigates, training covert ops 5, cloaking 5, scanning 5 was a no-brainer.

(The fact that it has covert ops 5 and T2 torpedos makes it an almost-perfect dps bomber, but I guess ChatGPT needs some more training to spot things like this.)

It is rare that a character is trained exactly to what the purchaser wants.

The 50b offer is a lowball offer which is only just higher than extraction value. It comes closer to that threshold when you factor in the transfer cost into the extractor cost calculations. But this is OK. Why pay the asking price when you could offer lower? The buyer might accept your price! I, however, do not. No hard feelings towards the 50b offer.

Go to any other bazaar post and you’ll find similar offers before any are made which are closer to the asking price. This often takes time. Time I’m willing to wait. The market has not spoken, it’s just waiting for someone who is willing to meet the asking price. An asking price which is lower than 1b:1m.

Faction Warfare is an ideal setting for this character due it’s ability to fly all frigates and destroyers. This narrows down it’s usefulness and naturally it may take longer to sell. I’m OK with that. And if a 2-for-1 extractor sale pops up before the character has sold, I can convert £ to ISK in the most efficient way. I’m also OK with that.

But let’s take a step back here and return to the “wasted” skills. Out of curiosity, what would you have trained the ~12.5m SP from Scanning/PI/Neural Enhancement into for this character?
