Didn’t know that I will donate the same prize from a year ago today again. Interesting. Well, in that case…

The server has been on the fritz for quite some time.
Roughly half and hour after the last draw it finally gave up the spirit.
Could only get it to run for 5-10 minutes at a time after that - Hence the near complete blackout this round

The good news is that I ordered parts for a new one some 3 weeks ago, with the final bit (the CPU) finally arriving last Thursday.

I’ve been busy building ever since (OK I had a beer or two… Friday) and the new server is now up and running - and is in fact serving the website already.

Still a few bits and pieces missing - like the API service (fetching the info about mails sent) - But I expect that to be in place in a few days.
Note that mails don’t get lost because of this - So mail away (receipts just won’t show just yet)

So going forward there should be no more outages (fingers crossed )

The old server served (pun intended) me well for 10! years - So it’s time for pasture was over due.
RIP old server.
