It’s hard to believe that two decades have passed, and The BIG Lottery has been around for 20 years. It’s been an incredible journey, and I can hardly wrap my head around the fact that I’ve been running this lottery for a fifth of a century.
Over the past 20 years, 71,321 unique characters have tested their luck with Lady Luck in The BIG Lottery. Despite this huge passage of time, the format and execution of The BIG Lottery have remained the same, and even the website’s look and feel has remained unchanged.
However, effective November 8th, 2016, EULA changes banning lotteries meant that I had to make some changes. Since then, The BIG Lottery has been free to enter, and all prizes have been paid out of my own pocket, along with some generous sponsor prizes. As a result, I can’t match the record-breaking prizes of the 10th anniversary, and the prizes this year are rather modest.
However, one thing that has remained constant over the years is the joy and excitement of each drawing in the in-game channel, BIG Games. Regardless of the size or amount of prizes, each drawing is a blast, and I genuinely look forward to the shenanigans and conversations that take place in the channel during the draw.
I owe a debt of gratitude to all of you who have signed up for The BIG Lottery every round and shown up for the actual draw every second Monday. None of this would be possible without you, and I’m sincerely thankful for your support.
In conclusion, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of The BIG Lottery over the last 20 years. I’m looking forward to celebrating this milestone anniversary with all of you and hope to see you at the 20th-anniversary draw.
