So im a huge flower giver in the game. I pass out literally hundreds of —–←—<@ a day in various channels to people. Its a flower that you can keep though. I want to give something for the folks to keep forever if they so wish.
Im looking for someone who is good at dot art so that i may send these to players. Ive tried to do this myself but i just dont have the correct nueros in my brain to do it correctly. I alway mess it up and have to start over. Theres certainly a skill to it of which i do not possess.
Now i have found some really good dot art online…but they dont work so well in the game.
Is there anyone out there that can do this for me? ( in color would be even more awesome ) If not, is there some kind of tool that i can use to make these work ingame? Im good at playing game, but im not very good at online art or anything like that.
There’s an ascii art generator website that’ll convert from an image to ascii art.
You can fiddle around with settings to get it to use the right characters etc.
It can’t do colour in the context of eve, when I made the cat on my BIO I did any changes in nodepad and just pasted it in grey and coloured it in the BIO.
This is a good image converter. Bear in mind most ASCII art relies on using a monospace font, ie every letter (and blank spaces) are the same width, and EVE sadly doesn’t have an option to just set a monospace font, so you need to manually set the font size small enough that the game forces a monospace font (otherwise the art will be very crooked). This cannot be done from in-game. Open up notepad or any other text editor, copy-paste in these brackets, then paste your ASCII inside them. You can then paste the entire document into EVE, and the font size will be set to the value specified.
<fontsize=4>Put your ASCII here</fontsize>
Have fun! Remember that EVE bios can be at most 2500 characters long, and tags like font size and letter colour will count against that. You can manually set the colours in game, but just bear in mind the entire flower needs to be very small if you do because for example green and red flower means you need multiple colour tags per line.
