Phew, got it finished and scanned just in time!
ATXXII poster featuring a Harbinger Navy Issue and some medium gun spam vibes.
My overall goal is to evoke the feeling of vintage theatre posters. I painted this using watercolor, gouache, and white acrylic ink, 28 x 38 cm on 300gsm Arches paper.
The lettering was by far the most time-consuming part and was done by manually sketching out a digital mock-up, then using “grid-fu” to reproduce it on paper. However, what really added to the time was that I kept going way too light on my guide marks.
