Hello,

Like several others I’ve seen through my brief look at this forum, I’m an old pilot making a return to EVE after a fairly long break.

I’ve been catching up on patch notes, but the list is pretty long. So, while I may have a good number of SPs, my skills have pretty well atrophied.

About me:
-US time (evenings during the week and varies on the weekends)
-2 Accounts (started them as Fighter & Indy, though lines blurred some time ago)
-Most of my EVE life has been spent in SOV Space, though I do have some WH time.
-When I last played my game play mainly consisted of Anom ratting, Escalations, Mining, Alliance/Coalition PVP (small gang roams, CTAs, Local Def, ETC).
-Everything will be a re-learning process for me. It’s going to cause me to ask/say/do stupid things. I’ll get over it.
-Point of concern - I have a family, career, and play other games. I know there are groups in EVE that want very active players. I likely won’t fit that bill.

I’m interested in incursion game play, though I have limited to no experience there. From what I’ve read, HS incursions seem like EVE’s version of “raiding”. With the ship limits (at least for HS) and the nature of it requiring a coordinated team effort. I believe I participated in a few in Null. But, we just threw Supers/AUX in and it was free ISK/LPs. From what I’ve read though, Incursion play seems to be more of a chat group activity. Where you join an incursion community, then join them when available (provided you can fly their required ships/fits). To me, that means that I could join a Null Corp and still participate in HS incursion groups, either by inty running back to HS or JC.

Otherwise, I’m not really set on any particular path (regarding Corp/Aliance/Coalition). I’m not a “main” PVP’er though, so I’m assuming more of an industrial/PVE focused group within a SOV holding alliance would be the best fit. Though maybe it’s time to not follow that traditional path.

I would prefer a group with active discord use. I understand the value of some of the other platforms for fleet ops. Let’s be real though, discord is just amazing.

I would prefer an environment where people are willing to discuss the WHY of things. Yes, I can look up popular fits. Yes, I can find advice for most activities. But it doesn’t always get to why this fit/ship/whatever is better than something else.

Lot more I could say, but already likely too long of a post.

Looking forward to getting back into EVE and finding a new Team to fly with.

Burn the Boats is always recruiting pvp corps/players. Several of our corps are looking for people including newer people. We work with NPSI groups like Spectre Fleet, I myself being one of the FCs. High fun, zero risk on your part since it’s covered by SRP. We daytrip into nullsec but we are based in the Metropolis/Sinq region of space. For ourselves we live in a lowsec pockets in the surrounding area and we have several people in Minmatar FW for the highsec stuff. We also work with a coalition that hunts bigots in game. We have guys doing different types of pve also who can show you the ropes on making isk in the area if you’d like be it Fobs, lvl 4s or lvl 5s, combat anomalies, etc etc.

I am USTZ as well & would be interested in recruiting you for my corp, however what we specialize in primarily (deep wormhole space) does not seem to suit your current playstyle, so I won’t push that issue.

However, I would strongly recommend you towards Eve Rookies. They are a community based public group that primarily does Incursions (among other activities). One of my corp members in a PvE FC for them so will link him for assistance: @Fluffy_Neko
