Dear CCP, I want to be a miner as a solo player, but it feels like the system is designed to punish me

I know reading isn’t your strong suit, but what I said is that you would be stupid to run an orca/exhumer combo in nullsec. This is because some other, more competent player is going to have boosts in the field already and yours will not benefit anyone.

You could instead be using two characters to mine, while having the same (or better) boosts, while also mining ore worth far more.

Again… Because it’s impossible for you to possibly write anything to me without being insulting…

I Don’t Care.

I’m funny that way. I just don’t give a ■■■■ when people can’t make a point without being insulting. I like to match energies. Hard to find anything but trolls and incompetence anywhere in null anyway. “A more competent player to sit in one spot and put on a light show for boosting”. Oh bull ■■■■. I’m 2 weeks from having level 4 mastery in a Rorqual just for the hell of it. And with max jump range from way back when I trained up BLOPS. Like it’s hard to pilot a ship in siege mode! LOL! Good one!

Buddy, I’m over here trying to explain to you with a box of crayons that if your current setup would make “double” then engaging your brain even a little bit would change that to “quadruple” and you’re trying to eat the crayons and getting mad that I’m not being polite enough about that.

Yes I know. Two Hulks with someone else being the boring ass Orca pilot. I don’t have an Orca pilot moron right now. It’s why I’m piloting one.

Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Yes I know Two Hulks. Two Hulks. Two Hulks.

I get it.

When I get an idiot to stand by an be an Orca pilot on my schedule, I’ll fly Two Hulks.

There’s gonna be a couple guys with rorquals and some obscene number of miner alts in basically any serious null corp. You don’t need to find anyone, you don’t need to roam from system to system scanning down sites, scrounging for ore. You just show up and mine.

I think after 20 years it should be pretty freakin obvious that some activity’s “most” are centered toward high end players, people that do multibox and pay premo, otherwise there wouldnt be any sites for the bread winners. I understand your misguided fustration and agree with you to a point, I myself rarely multibox and only get omega when I have a couple hundred that I was going to waste on bubblegum layin around. Eve Online is full of premium players that never pay a dime, they multibox those big sites and others to plex all their accounts so you have to realise who your peers are in eve online, and the influence they have on game balancing.

Hahaha.

Multiboxers, peers?

LMAO.

Dont judge me, I am unjudgeable. Dont bait me, I will break your lure, Dont tickle me, I will pee my pants.

You would be making bare minimum, 3x what you make in HS mining.

And these are from the readily available Mercoxit anoms & ice fields. Not counting the R64 moons.

And its actually safer than HS, you don’t need to constantly keep eye on it. Install the app RIFT, it monitors your alliance chat, you customize it to alert if there’s a neutral or hostile X jumps away from your current system, giving you ample time to prepare (if they are in pvp fits) or you can ignore if they are travel or explo fit.

Basically if u can fly an Exhumer, you’re wasting potential mining in HS.

Pochven mining has no rats from my experience just a lot of multiboxers running all over. I see pioneers in there mining. A pioneer or endurance should be able to pull lots of the most valuable ore in the game easily without extraordinary risk.

Ah, but you must understand that things do not work the same in the Glenduilverse.

In the Glennyverse, people don’t even fly exhumers in null. They fly ventures that they dock up every time a neutral enters local. Despite the fact that they’re all docked up in ventures, they still somehow manage to mine out all the ore null has to offer in about 30 minutes. They’re forced to give this ore to their alliance, which in turn gives them company scrip that they’re allowed to spend on a protein bar or small bottle of water (NOT BOTH!) before resuming their labors.

They then spend the rest of the day using their probes to scan for anomalies.

Basically nobody mines at all in Nullsec and they get all their money to afford Titans and Supercaps and Keepstars from HighsecAlts that mine Zeolites in a Hulk, boosted by an overtanked Orca (you know, “because gankers!!!”)…

Well yeah. On each and every single day that I mine in Null sec, I fly a Venture and dock up when a neutral enters the system. Yep! I do it every time I mine there… I mean here. I dock in every Null Sec structure that belongs to the Alliance that I’m currently part of. See? You can look up my Alliance info right now and see that I belong to an Alliance. And that I’m currently mining in Null Sec… In a Venture… Ready to dock inside a Structure owned by my Alliance.

HAHA You think I’m going to be embarrassed for tanking an Orca and using its built-in remote defensive abilities? LOL! Of course not! I mine in Caldari space. I’m not going to be embarrassed about protecting myself. I’ll proudly state it myself.

Why? Because I don’t lose Hulks.

And as for asking about Null sec, if I state anything about Null, I get told I don’t know what I’m talking about. If I ask about Null, I get told that I should already know everything about Null. The only people who are worth mocking are you Null bear cave dwellers. Nothing but angry basement dwelling trolls just like most null sec idiots I’ve run into in my days. And now that I know that there isn’t ■■■■ worth of money down there? Not even worth going into that territory.

Well, just stay poor then in HS. But don’t try to make it look as if it had anything to do with efficiency. It’s a boring low-hanging-fruit safety lifestyle with poor profits and low progress. If you like that, go on. Everyone else: be warned! More people have quit the game out of sheer boredom in HS than about getting shot at in Nullsec!

I intend to.

And you do realize that I could fly down to Null at any time I change my mind after actually meeting a great group right? You act as though this is a one-time only decision. This is a video game. I do what I want when I want. If something isn’t fun, I don’t do it. You seem to think that this game is life. It’s not. It’s completely meaningless. It doesn’t matter. It’s not a job. It’s completely pointless.

This^^

I’m the same, I read a lot of corp ads but none come close to the last guys I was with in null.

If I ever find a group like that again maybe I’ll go back, but in the meantime I’m happy up here in HS with zero interest in how much I make or what anyone else thinks.

Usually when you state something about null, you combine a condescending attitude with a statement that is completely wrong. See, e.g., you embarrassing yourself re: anomalies

It would have cost you nothing to simply ask a question, but instead you acted like a clown while being completely wrong about the mechanics you were trying to be a condescending asshole about.

GASP!!! I made a mistake! NOO!O!!111!!!

Stand by because I’ll do it again. I find it funny that you think it’s some monumental thing. So what? Not my first and won’t be my last. It means WAY more to you than it does to me.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to hop into my Titan and mine some gas in High Sec with my strip miners.

Lots of people make a mistake. You constantly act like a jerk while making mistakes, and then whine about it when everyone treats you like a jerk.

If you’re going to have that attitude, you should try to be a little less incompetent, is all.
