Devblog: Skills On Demand - Changes Coming To The Skill System!

I can’t tell if you’re trolling me or just lazy. I mean doing it yourself from start to finish. PI and moon reactions and all. It’s not a simple system.

Im not trolling. T2 production is not hard at all. You can Right click show info everything and it shows you what you need. And then you jsut acquire items one after another. Its really simple.

Not a fan to be honest. Yeah, I can see the positives but at the same time every time you remove the need to “go pick something up” or “pick something up and haul it to wherever” you also reduce the chances and incentives of meaningful interaction happening during that menial drudgery. There’ll always be something for players to trade, but one of the most important facets of Eve is that everything is a damn item you need to pick up and take to wherever it’s going to be useful. It’s one of the catalysts for meaningful interaction.

Nah, this is just shitty pandering to nullblocs. Next up, can roll a toon directly in the mining system of choice. Don’t even have set the deathclone after injecting in Jita. Just create toon, undock directly into Rorqual/HIC/DIC/CynoCeptor/Whateverthefuckoftheday.

yes i agree

please chop down this ladder all of goonswarm has clambered up already before anyone can follow us

By that same token the person you are talking about could spend their entire night out flying spaceships the way they want instead of completing a space errand simulator.

Why not just set attributes to the same level…liek 24 or 25…and then use attribute implants as normal. Keeps the important implant market. Simplifies the system.

Another example of dumbing down the game. Part of the fun of EVE is finding out how stuff works, and yes, that includes knowing how the market works, and how you make a proper skillplan and such. This proposed change takes that fun away, you don’t have to do anything anymore, you just get your skills presented on a golden platter. Typical for today’s generation I presume.

If you go this way : no show info needed, you just click the T2 bpc in your industry window and “build”. Being oblivious to the complexity of a problem does not make that problem simpler.

You are talking about this?

Kids these days.

Figuring out a skill plan is great for mid-game, but not early game.

Hi What about just making this Alpha skills only. keep the process for omega skills

Good plan, There is nothing more annoying than just realizing you are missing that ONE item and having to waste another 20 minutes getting it. Just have NPC buy orders on the trade hubs for 99% of skill book cost and all is good. People actually bought these thing since the old system was often tedious, so they either made small amounts of money moving it to hub OR bought them for their null sec alliance to make it easier. No need to make either group stuck/

The way they want, bypassing the potentially risky parts. If I had even the slightest faith in this being used by newbies or others to get quicker into the fun rather than just veterans trying to bypass risk or inconvenience under super umbrellas, I wouldn’t really mind but as it stands now? This is nothing but Let’s Make Delve Even Easier.

What he’s saying is , he wants the attribute implants to become consumable. That would remove the need to switch clones, would increase the market volume, possiblty increase the isk/lp worth of FW factions, and remove the fear of death you have when you have attributes implants.

Wouldnt it be a shame if that guy was out in an instawarp interceptor all night flying around collecting skillbooks instead of rolling his face around on his keyboard losing supers?

I’m a absolute newb at EVE but I see this a lot in the game development world now. Sacrificing small things that make the experience for retention of new players. When I believe that the focus should be on the fans. The ones that have been here for the long haul. As a new player I have no beefs with the current systems. I think it helps breed social aspects of the game. Asking someone for help could be extremely conducive to finding your first corp and what not.

goonswarm is by far the least affected by this claim as our capital is chock full of any skillbook you could need

I agree, we should not change things if they make things even slightly easier for the people I hate. Everyone else should be denied the change if it even slightly deigns to assist those who have wronged me in a space-themed spreadsheet.

You completely underestimate how little this change will matter in Delve. We have almost complete and total skill book coverage and even the rare stuff like Trig skillbooks are cheaper than in Jita(I looked last night). This change does not move the needle for us my friend as much as that would help your narrative. Casual new person trying to find their place in Eve however is going to get a nice ROI on their time spent in game not chugging around running space chores.

Oh look, the strawman brigade is swarming. You know you’ve hit the buttons when this many goons come along all at the same time.
