Could CCP please clarify exactly when the offer to get 7 days Omega time for 10 PLEX ends. All I can find is that it ends on “Until 27 November”. Could we please get the exact UTC date and time that the offer ends.
As in the years before, all is possible and you can also count on it that you will not get any clarification if the downtime (on the 27th or after) or the end of day on the 27th is the relevant factor.
In recent years other played the game and then complained that the offer was closed to soon, so claim it while you can. Trying to maximize the waiting game might leave you without any reward at all.
You don’t know when downtime is?
CCP runs everything based on when they restart the cluster every day.
That is just not true.
Okay, if you say so.
I’ve only been here for 20 years, but you said I’m wrong with zero evidence or citation, so you must be right.

Funny guy…so please provide evidence that downtime it is? I will be interested on how you do it without any kind log available to you…the PLEX log has just been established with this expansion and also you would of course be in the need to provide negative evidence that you never were able to purchase it after downtime…
I also have seen all kinds of different promo ending time in the past.
If they have explicitly stated ‘‘until November 27’’, then most likely it means the offer will be gone after DT Nov 27, that is today, the Thursday that just started for Europeans. That’s how they have done it in the past. It’s never ended Nov 27, 23.59 whatever time zone Iceland is, for example. Always after DT.
Daily login rewards are based on DT.
Before Alphas, subscription timers were based on DT.
CCP has always used DT as their set time to start/end things, but you believe whatever you want.
thats true… most everything revolves around when DT starts and ends.
If I recall … the 10 Plex/7 day Omega promotion had a countdown timer until a few days before the end of the promotion
You can see the current countdown timers for the “Spark Pack” as well as the “Breakthrough Pack” as examples
I am in the US and the end times are roughly 4pm PST (which is not daily downtime)
Adding a screenshot from the store with a timestamp as of this post, set to expire in 11 days and 4 hours. 4 hours from now is nowhere near downtime, but about 1am in CET, proving your claim that everything revolves around downtime worthless and outright wrong. But you show strong confidence in your beliefs…so respect to you!
Cool, you found one that tells you exactly when.
Now how does that mean anything?
In the absence of a timer like your exception, the rule in Eve has always been that these things start and end at downtime.
I knew in advance that under the impression of a counterexample you would pretend you never claimed totality of DT as universally defining factor…
But well…another counterexample to your last claim that if no timer is present, the downtime is the defining factor:
This promotion had components in both EVE store and NES listed until 23:59 UTC on 2 September of 2024. And there are no such timers viewable in the NES.
This is not an in-game offer. This is an offer on EVE website. Those function independent of DT.
The specific Omega time for 10 PLEX offer was only in the NES Store, as far as I know. That is an in-game store. Most in-game offers end after DT. The reason being that some CCP employee actually needs to remove that stuff from the game by hand (code) and in order to do that the server has to be down. If it’s not removed at DT, then someone has to take the server down outside DT and remove the offer. Which is not done, because CCP already takes the server down daily anyway.
You replied one hour ago…i hope you see my other post directly above yours soon. That promotion included offers in the NES with an expiry date at midnight given in the announcement - but without a timer in the NES.
Your idea of programming and managing online applications is completely wrong. ![]()
I saw it. It’s an old 2023 offer, so it’s difficult for me to argue on one offer from 2 years ago, because I can’t go back and verify. CCP has certainly ‘mistyped’ their dates/times before. Not saying that that was the case there as well, though.
But if it wasn’t, then in my experience it’s unusual for an in-game offer to end at any time other than DT. True, I haven’t painstakingly documented the offers’ expiry dates, and I have usually taken advantage of them myself before they’re nearing the end. Those I have paid attention to, I’ve seen end after DT.
But I will keep an eye on it in the future, if I care to. This isn’t that important of a topic for me, though. Most of the time CCP doesn’t provide any expiration date anyway. At least not for NES offers.
Okay. I have zero understanding of IT stuff. Don’t wanna waste my brain cells on that boring stuff either. That’s just the impression I’ve been either left with, or heard from somewhere. I don’t care enough to be right or wrong on this.
Regarding expanded discussion about Daily Downtime…(Daily Login example below)
I still could not seem to find information regarding the EvE Store promotions especially since I used the 10Plex/7Day Omega deal to reboot my characters after 10 years away from EvE.
As someone who originally started EvE in 2005, I personally “assumed” daily downtime for this promotion to end on the 27th (3am PST) - if we could find that documented, then this discussion can have a polite end.

Surely you’re not saying that he did the very thing that you did…like he’s a knucklehead?
