Expanding Criminal Activities in High-Sec

Ganker is not derived from “gang killer”, that’s absurd. Ganking comes from the chivralic order of the High Gaenking, who marshalled the forces of the Holy Roman Empire against the barbarian hordes. The gaenkers of old were great knights and heraldic maidens of the fairest sort, who did give fair battle in alignment with the honour and dignitie of the all mighty imperial CODE. I should note, in recent years, it has been popular to pronounce the k (perhaps leading to your confusion about killing), but this is in fact a silent k equivalent to that in k-night. So the correct pronounciation is gan-ing. As in, I am gaining and you are losing.

It did not begin with CODE. This has been going on in New Eden for 20 years. Thrashers swarming in a system, bumping a mining ship, swarming it, and blowing it up before Concord arrives. Mining ships were upgraded which made it more difficult. Players adapted which made it easier again. It’s gone on since the beginning.

How come gaenking keeps getting easier?

When did I imply one way or the other?

You don’t even read your own posts.

That post I just made? That was about time long past. Before CODE. That was a one-time incident. It in no way was meant to reflect the ongoing progression of Eve Online.

If you want to know more about gaenking long past, I recommend you vist the Bodleian at Oxford. The Tolkein archive holds some of the oldest accounts of the Graet Gaenkings of Yore, and you may enjoy the Tapestry of Tears.

Why? So I can learn the numbers game? Damage needed to overcome EHP of the target divided by the number of ships vs. the number of seconds before Concord arrives depending upon the security level of the system?

It’s not that hard. You needed a degree for that?

Why?

So you can prove, once and for all, that ganking is easy.

You talk a lot, but talk is cheap.

Edit: Somebody edited their post from Bodelian to the correct spelling. Good job !

Because I don’t want to. It’s my game.

But sure- pay me 5 billion ISK per kill and I’ll join you. I’ll cover the cost of my ships, but you’ll pay me 5 billion ISK per kill. It’s my account and it’s my time. Otherwise, I continue doing what I want to do.

Who are you talking to?

You. The one who keeps insisting that I do a job for free that I don’t want to do. Pay me.

Why would I pay you to gank? You yourself said it is easy.

With your tanked skiff?
