While in fact we’re just the same. When people killed, they die. As so do we, just when we die, all our memories and experienced are passed down to our ‘children’, to our clones who will keep living our lives when we will be gone.

You wish to call them “children”. I prefer to call them “ghosts”. I intend to develop a strong dedication to purpose into this clone so that the next iteration will be strengthened along that path. Otherwise, my ghosts may follow the empty path of seeking fights without purpose. That madness is a path too many have chosen. It throws the mortal crews of those ships away without reason.

So, any thoughts? I’m sure I’m not the only capsuleer who wants to avoid baseliner crews for one reason or another, and there must be some kind of workaround involving AI or something like that. Heck, it wouldn’t surprise me if some madman out in null-sec has figured out a way to fly cruisers and battleships by himself.

For me I fly with crews starting with cruisers and above and have crews in barges and above.

I am the captain and my crew is my family. I have an attachment to my larger ships when they explode and when upwell stations explode I feel a great sadness for the civilians and crew.

Fewer crew for ships will mean more Capsuleers that are drawn from the ship crews.

There are always minmatar or matari slaves. Some eventually achieve something representing personhood, but for the most part you could fly most ships with no crew at all, or a minimal roster of competent persons with a well trained commune of slaves.
