How do I manage 48 planets PI over 8 characters?

This can be answered with the joy of excel spreadsheets

The joy of excel huh. How about google sheets? I don’t have Excel on my computer. Can I set this up with google sheets with an interface to Eve? I google the question and it is possible. If I ever do, I may pass out from thinking.

Just wondering, how I would setup 48 plants to max out enriched uranium and construction blocks. I have 8 characters that are maxed PI, and I cannot figure out how to break it down into a well oiled machine of passive Isk.

Would I do 5 farm to 1 factory for however much P1 (Toxic Metals/Precious Metals/Reactive Metals) I need, and then factories for how much enriched uranium and construction blocks to produce Enriched Uranium and Consruction Blocks? How would I set this up with 8 characters with max pi skills to work well?

Yah man I don’t care lol. Excel or sheets. All the same cells to me.

Only EVE can interface with excel atm remember how CCP made a big deal with confirming the spreadsheets in space meme?

So basically, I have 48 planets to spend. I am in null and have some good options as far as planets go. My question is, what is the best way to spend 48 planets in PI, and does it involve producing from scratch P4, P3, or just P2. I want to spend 2.5 hours a week, but if going more time means a lot more isk i am interested.

The main issue I am having is I google the question and there are always too sides. One says P2 is best, and other say how they make P4 and it is best. Could use some help,

dude;
it’s not really possible to give you super accurate X number of Planets of A resource, Y of B resource etc.
start with basic fuel block inputs if you want to start somewhere.
just start throwing extractors down already. you’re massively overthinking this.

I am enjoying the challenge as setting this up is too difficult for me. I like to ram my head through barriers on some games and this is one instance of this. It is like how some people are dyslexic, or some people cannot do math.
I am trying to procedualize the process and am nearly there.

I appreciate all the help you have given me. Thanks.

My setup is that 5 planets make p1.

Then I take all that p1 and send it to a factory planet (my sixth) that makes p2-p3. Even p4 if I wanted to.

Simple and easy.

You can obviously mix it around.

I can do 4 planets that make p1 and 2 planets that make p2-p4

I can have 1 ENTIRE character be 6 factory planets and my other 2 characters be extractor planets. The idea is that extractor planets feed into factory planets.

Do you see the idea? That is the best way I can explain how PI should ideally be done.

Henry Ford did this with the assembly line all the way before you or me were born. He took ALL THE PARTS made from many different places and aggregated together in a singular central location to produce the final product. That is why I laugh at people who don’t do it because we have been manufacturing like this since the industrial revolution.

Thanks. Just started earlier tonight building my PI network. I figured out something that works.

Thanks for helping me.

Could you please share us a screenshot pic of the layout on one of your planet surface?

Here an example of my Factory setup which mainly imports P2 (and few P1) and converts it into P3 and then P4 products.

How often can you move materials from your launch pad to your storage? Once every 30 minutes??
