Sooo, Hrada-Oki suck at opsec, get blown up for it by capsuleers attempting to contact them to help, precious cargo is blown every which way to the hands of every other capsuleer like a djinn out of a bottle, Deathless announcement imminent (in 45 hours), etc, so forth. Bored now.
What inquiring minds want to know is if the Thukker Tribe at large have anything to say about harboring this disgraceful excuse for a clan?
The Minmatar Militia showed up with some fleets to escort the Thukker caravan. And fight potential pirates. They managed to destroy an Angel Cartel Battlecruiser that was lurking in front of the Thukker station in Altrinur.
When the Caravan undocked, it was followed by a huge fleet of capsuleers. My corporation member who joined the Caravan in a Wreathe for a couple jumps said those capsuleers were probably working for the Angel Cartel because she remembered their names from lowsec.
In Colelie, some Bloodraiders attacked the Caravan but they were repelled by the escort fleets and those neutral capsuleers.
When the caravan jumped into Avenod, things escalated and some capsuleers usually flying for the Angel Cartel got into a fight with the militia fleet and the Thukker convoy alike.
It’s unclear what caused this escalation into a proper fight but It’s not acceptable that such a big Thukker fleet gets destroyed in Republic space. Be it by capsuleers or by members of the Cartel. Why did the Minmatar Militia not send more ships to protect them?
Where was the Thukker fleet heading to anyways? I would have expected them to jump to Magiko and head to Molden Heath…
I trust this report since it was delivered to me from an eye witness.
This wasn’t just a fleet of Thukkers, this was a Deathless Circle fleet bringing Jovian artifacts to Zarzakh to potentially gain access to a Jovian structure that was recently discovered there. I think it’s justifiable to at least try to stop and destroy it.
By the way, what if it was done on purpose? What if it was just a diversion to carry out a more discreet operation? I find it hard to imagine that people as elusive as them could resort to such low-level strategies as “we should invite a bunch of psychopathic and apathetic immortal demigods to come with us, what could go wrong?”
I understand you don’t have a complete understanding of the situation, but you may wish to ask questions before passing judgment.
The caravan was privately operated and in support of a known pirate element, why would the Republic expend resources publicly defending such a caravan?
The Republic Capsuleer Militia also operates semi-independently from the Republic and doesn’t necessarily suggest any official stance of the Republic itself.
The Hrada-Oki are Deathless allies. Direct enemies of the Militia and the Republic in the armed conflict known as the incursions. The caravan was on its way to Zarzakh to deliver materials to the pirates. Why in the ever-living cluster would the Militia protect it?
Seems like my information about this topic was a bit outdated and wrong. There is allready a public statement and it seems like this Caravan was indeed working for the Hrada-Oki, a group I’ve never heard of before with close ties to the Angel Cartel.
But if this was all known beforehand as it seems to me, the Republic should have intercepted them and took whatever contrabrand they were carrying in a more civilised way…
