Okay I have made some changes based on what has happened and what I was looking at in armor tanking. My DPS dropped slightly but I should be a lot tankier.

I’ve a feeling you’ll suffer with the capacitor - but I’ve no real feel for that; Amarrian hulls tend to have bigger capacitors. Try it and if you are suffering then it’s either a cap recharger or a rig…
Missiles; the faction missiles (Caldari) aren’t horribly expensive given they give a good (and not stacked) increase in damage - it’ll probably be enough to push you over 500dps. OK. They feel expensive; but when you look at mission and bounty payments not using them is a bit of a false economy.
That’s because, it’s wrong.
Stacking penalty does not make the module useless.
It makes it much less efficient. But in some cases, that efficiency is worth it (eg if you are shield tanking and don’t need that low anyhow)
wrong. That’s just wrong. even a 4th BCU adds some DPS.
If I have base 100.3 DPs on a ship
1 BCU 123.3 => +23
2 BCU 147.5 => +24.2
3 BCU 165.8 => +18.3
4 BCU 175.7 => +9.9
4 BCU + calefaction T2 185.7 => +12.7
5 BCU 179.6 => +3.9
The 4th BCU is only 43% as effective as the first one.
The 5th one is 17%
Which of these skills should I prioritize for DPS gains? I am using cruise missiles. I don’t always make sense to others so which ones should I train first out of the ones in my queue and am I missing anything else to help boost DPS not including drone skills since I don’t get to use them much.
if you use cruise missiles : HAM, LM, rockets, HM, torps are useless
so you have cruise and the utility.
cruise missile you want to use specialization. so you need cruise V fast. then spe IV .
utilities :
guided missile precision multiplies your application by 1/(1-0.05*skill), so L5 it’s +33% application IE +33% effective DPS.
missile bombardment multiplies the range by (1+0.1*skill) so in the end it’s +50% range
missile launcher operation is a mul of raw DPS by 1/(1-0.02*skill) so +11.1% max
missile projection is like missile bombardment.
rapid launch is raw DPS * 1/(1-0.03*skills) so +17.6% DPS at max
target navigation prediction multiplies your application by 1+0.1*skill so effeciveley +50% applied DPS at max
warhead upgrade is a flat (1+0.02skill) increase in applied DPS so +10% at max
the “range” skills are the least important ones.
the “application” skills are actually the best, followed closely by the raw DPS skills
but actually, what you should do is, for each of the raw DPS and application skills, compute the gain multiplication for given level, use log (because it’s multiplicative) and divide by the time (eg in days) to find the increase level per days of the skill level. and learn the one that has the highest value.

It can be expensive but its worth it. Fit it with AC the ship gives them bonus to falloff+ some trancking enhancer at low and gyros Its savage with good skills u can pull + 1000k dps. Fit it shield tank.
Otherwise Id prefere an armor tanked Typhon with cruise missiles.
