Little things / Small QoL suggestions

I’d imagine color variance in addition to the tiered visual would communicate that fairly well.

Suggestion: Display Rig Calibration information at all times in Fitting Simulator

Keywords: ui, fitting window, QoL, fitting simulator
Note: This would reduce clicks as I could hover over a Rig in the list of options, view the calibration that is missing and move on, rather than: hover over a Rig, see that my ship doesn’t have enough Calibration, apply the Rig so that I can see how much Calibration is missing, remove the Rig and move on.

i disagree.. rigs cannot be placed and removed without being destroyed. and if you don’t have enough calibration you can’t place that rig in the first place.

I was not clear, sorry. I will update the post to mention the context of the Ship Simulator

Suggestion: Allow us to remove or forget skills
Keywords: UI, Skills
Note: Unused or extracted skills should be able to be removed

When refocusing or reskilling a character with Skill Extractors, having a list of unused 0/5 skills in the Skills window left over triggers me.

Suggestion: Shortcut to Open Infrastructure Hold

Keywords: UI, Keybind, Shortcut

Note: A keybind shortcut option to open the infrastructure hold of the Upwell haulers would be a great QoL change for anyone using them for PI en masse - alternatively the Planetary Commodity Hold keybind could also work to open them.

Suggestion: Add sorting options (e.g., Name, Ship Type) to the Watch List.

Keywords: ui, fleet, watch list, quality of life
Note: Would help logistics, FCs, and fleet members quickly find pilots mid-fight.

Adding optional sort functions—even basic ones like “Sort by Name” or “Sort by Ship Type”—would allow players to adapt the Watch List to fit their current situation without losing the ability to manually prioritize.

Suggestion: Structure Pirate Rigs for Low-Sec Drug Reactions & Manufacturing

Keywords: industry, reactions, low sec, LS, boosters, drugs
Note: This would fit the theme for low sec if there were pirate structure rigs designed for making drugs/boosters in low-sec space.

Structure rigs focused on reactions and/or manufacturing gas into booster products.
There are already some faction structure rigs (e.g., Thukker) for low sec that significantly benefit capital and advanced component production. Perhaps Serpentis could have pirate faction versions in a similar style, but tailored for boosters.

Examples:

  • Standup M-Set Serpentis Biochemical Booster Reactor Material Efficiency

  • Standup L-Set Serpentis Biochemical Reactor Efficiency

P.S.: Of course, it would be even cooler if there were pirate versions of the Athanor or other structures that could provide bonuses to boosters instead, but that might not qualify as a “little thing” anymore! :stuck_out_tongue:

Suggestion: Add “Compress All” button to ore holds

Keywords: ui
Note: Less complexity

We have a stack all button, why not make “Compress All” button to ore holds. It could also stack all ore.

Suggestion: Add buff icon if a compressor in fleet is active

Keywords: ui
Note: Understanding when you can actually compress

Unless you own a compressing ship, or you are in comms, there is zero indication that you can compress ore. You only have to guess. This a bit awkward. Adding a buff like any bonus could be useful.

Suggestion: Add a UI element to the player information card that tells me if I have information in the player’s notes.

Keywords: ui, player information card, notes
Note: Make notes easier to track in day to day gameplay.

It could also be added automatically in a dedicated folder in the Notepad, with sub folders for every type of in-game area personal notes can be added - characters, corporations, structures, etc

Suggestion: Add Reason field to Wallet’s Give ISK

Keywords: ui, wallet
Note: Surely an oversight

When using the “Give ISK” feature found in the Wallet window, there is no way to set a reason, unlike “Give money”

Suggestion: Make the Locations window pinable to the Neocom Sidebar.
Keywords: UI, neocom, locations, pin window
Note: It is not possible to do that ever since the locations rework.

Suggestion: Rework data/relic sites to spawn ‘loot’ can after all cans hacked
Keywords: relic, data, hack, exploration
Note: Rework data/relics sites so that all cans need to be hacked. After all cans are hacked either spawn a final can or unlock an existing ‘loot’ can to get all of the loot. Eliminated cherry picking and puts hackers on grid longer to increase risk/reward.

Suggestion: Despawn relic and data containers after they have been hacked and looted
Keywords: Exploration, data sites, relic sites
Note: Try a few relic and hacking sites and see if you like how a container dont despawn after you have hacked and looted it

On the inventory windows when you click lock window size and place you can still accidentally click and move the divider between available locations and the open inventory section

Please can you include the divider when you choose the lock window option.

For visual effects small maneuvering thrusters like elite dangerous, I have often wondered how these giant ships turn without them
