Suggestion: Include ship cargo in fitting item check Keywords: fitting, ship hangar, UI, buy all Note: Avoid unnecessary purchases when items are already in cargo
When using the “Fit” button on a saved fitting (e.g. an alliance doctrine ship), the system only checks the item hangar in the station for required modules, charges, and rigs. If I have the needed items in my ship’s cargo hold instead, the fitting window does not recognize them and prompts me to buy new ones—even though I already have them.
This is frustrating, especially when preparing ships quickly, as I often carry spare modules or ammo in my ship’s cargo. It would be very helpful if the fitting system could also check the cargo hold of the currently active ship when determining which items are missing, so it avoids unnecessary purchases and streamlines the fitting process.
Suggestion: Add Notes to Ships docked in the Ship Hangar
Keywords: Ship Hangar, Personal Assets, (Station Services) Show Hangars Tab, Notes, Stations, Ships
Note: The Fitting Management Window allows you to save Notes for Saved Fittings, which is very handy, it also allows you to see those notes on hover.
I’m nearly certain that Notes for Ships docked in your Hangar Bay has been asked for before.
I think that it is rather obvious as to why Notes for docked Ships would be useful, with potentially hundreds of docked ships some with similar Fittings it is easy to forget the build purpose for any one ship.
The alternatives, naming your ship such a Note such as (FW) - Cap, Blasters, Web; or whatever is a limited solution that has to be altered each time you fly. Creating a Note in the Notepad is also a poor alternative as the Saved Note has to be matched to the ship each time.
Allow the Notes to be accessible on hover in the:
Ship Hangar
(Open in new window) Ship Hangar Window.
(Station Services) Show Hangars Tab
Personal Assets window
(Open Group) Personal Assets Window
A+ suggestion!
Many ships have a symmetrical body/superstructure and so for immersive reasons weapons should also be symmetrical displayed on the ship.
Suggestion: QoL function: deactivaten/trashing/removal of activated Skins
Keywords: QoL, Quality of Life, Skin, Skins
Note: simple re-engineered functionality to remove/trash/deactivate skins
As already mentioned above, also while I am in contact support, please give players the ability to trash skins they once activated but want to get rid again.
Everything else can be trashed.
I can swipe the credit card, buy endless PLEX, buy the most expensive ship, and just trash it in hangar.
Why can I still not do this for skins, especially after SKINR was introduced.
A+ suggestion
Either have the weapons be fired from the central structure (if only one gun) or more correctly use both gun mounts for the visuals, for immersive / realism reasons.
M-sized guns are around 15 m in size.
M-sized missiles are around 30m in size … which looks abysmal on M-sized ships.
for S-sized guns/missiles: 6-8 m (guns) vs. 9 m (Light Missiles)
for L-sized guns/missiles: 28-36m (guns) vs. 22m (Cruise’s)
Heavy Missiles Launcher and Heavy Assault Missile Launcher are just to large for their size, they are in the size of L-sized weapons instead of M-sized weapons.
It would be great fun for the whole family if you could zoom into your opponent’s ship with the camera during pvp and faintly hear their ship’s warnings, especially the hull warning.
Suggestion: Knobs. Currently, to see what is affecting an attribute on a module you go to the module attributes and see what is green. Indicating those attribute that have been affected by skills. There should also be an alternate color (red/yellow) showing what attribute CAN ben affected with the advancement of a skill.
This would make it SO much easier to decide which skill to adjust next if you are looking to max out performance on a specific module.
Suggestion: Make POCO (Player Owned Customs Office) enter ABANDONDED state if not accessed within certain amount of time (ie, 1 year)
Keywords: POCO, structure, timer
Note: Takes capital like dps to kill quickly, alot of POCO owners have not logged in to EVE for over 5 years.
Very tedious structure to kill that doesn’t need fuel or any maintenance whatsoever. Would like a mechanic for them to be maybe hacked (transferred to another corp via this) or destroyed more easily.
Suggestion: See names of scan results in hover tooltip
Keywords: ui, probe scanner, exploration
Note: Useful when probe window is too small to see full name
I keep my probe scanner window open all the time (whether exploring or not), so I have made it quite skinny to fit on my screen as a permanent fixture among all the other things I want to see. I can see enough of the name to know what something is most of the time, but some names are long and some sites are new to me and some sites have a discriminator term late in the name instead of as a prefix. In these cases, I hover over them to see more info but all it says is the type of site and some basic (usually useless info). This info could instead be info from the specific site, like distance, id, name. I mostly want the name there, it it intuitive to have that in the expanded information I think
It would be better if it required a fuel block to operate. One would be enough and I wouldn’t mind if it lasted for a year. And then if a fuel block is not resupplied within a month the POCO crashes to the planet surface.
Optionally, after EVE Vanguard goes online 24/7 next Summer (hopefully no delays ) maybe it could be possible, at later date, to hire Vanguard mercenaries to deploy to planet surface and salvage what’s left from the POCO. …Or better yet, go inside the POCO on behalf of a Capsuleer and take ownership in their name before it crashes.
Depending on the system you’re in sometimes its hard to see which modules are active or not. Having an optional toggle to have a static background color behind the hud might help.
Keywords:UI, Logistics pilots, brackets, Ease of Play
BLUF(bottom line up front):Customizing the in game experience from the watch list would be intuitive and helpful.
I would love it if changing someone’s color on the watchlist changed the color of their bracket in space. CCPlease, think of the logi pilots and much more intuitive positioning in team fights might be if this were the case!
Suggestion: Improved Contracts UI / Improved way to sell “Unique” items like BPCs
The contract system in eve is good but it is rather clunky. For example if you are trying to determine what a set of BPCs cost you can’t look at the market you have to look at contracts. Every time you switch BPs then your contract settings change back to defaults and you have to reset them to what you are searching for. You cant at a glance see what a BPC might via the cost estimate field as since they aren’t sold on the market that the value is 0 ISK. If you have dozens of BPs you want to sell, you will have to search through each one and figure out how many runs it has and what the various runs might cost. The filters don’t let you search for specific items with runs == or >= so you will have to do that by hand or know what to expect from each type of bp you are selling.
One of my largest frustrations with the contract menu is when you choose a new item the “Availablity” resets to public from what you had it set to. As well as The location will be set to “All regions” anytime you select “find in contracts”. I would much prefer that the UI remember my settings, or at least a toggle to do so.
The main thing I’m hoping for is either an improved way to sell items that are unique enough that they can’t be sold on the regular market or an improved UI for working with the contracts so its not so painful to buy and sell there.
Suggestion: The Ship cards in the Ship Info’s Variations tab should have a View Market Details button.
Keywords: UI, ship info, market, market details, view market details
Note: Compensation for the annoying lack of right click space to get this option there.
–
You have to rightclick the ship icon to get the rightclick menu. Everywhere else on the ship card, rightclicking does nothing.
Need add filters that exclude some character or corporation from Hauling Jobs list. Cuz some one start using hauling jobs like personal buy order list or need to add cap for max jobs per corporation.
And add preview window or compact view version for jobs so i can see : What item required for job, how many pay per item, where to deliver and progress.
Suggestion: Allow pinned items in ship cargo hold, hangers, containers, etc. Keywords: UI, efficiency, hold, hanger, container Note: Remove unnecessary tedium, sorting, filtering etc when dropping off loot, preparing to launch, etc.
Most of the time I load or unload things from a ship hold, item hanger, container, etc, I want to keep SOME things in it. For ships sometimes it’s easy to just use a saved fit where I already have the cargo I want, but a lot of the time it’s not, and the five things I want to keep in the hold, hanger, container, etc are just mixed in. If I could pin certain things, and have them always stay at the top even when I change sort, that would be super super convenient.
