Suggestion: Ability to use ‘Divide Stack’ on multiple items at once
Keywords: UI, item management, PI
Note: Useful for moving a set amount of multiple items at one time
Being able to highlight several items and shift-drag a portion of all of them at one time would reduce a large amount of excessive repetitive clicks depending on the task, like loading ammo into a ship or loading PI into a hauler.
Suggestion: Add a way to limit maximal FPS in the game that isnt VSync
Keywords: Frame Limit, FPS, Frames, Performance Note: Allow us to throttle FPS in the settings to increase performance
Give us an alternative to the Nvidia Control Panel and add a slider in the ingame options which allows us to limit game FPS. Limiting the FPS to 60 or even lower heavily increases performance in a multi client setting. VSync is no solution because it still goes for 120 FPS or even higher in most cases nowadays.
Suggestion: Addition of ship skill to mastery tree.
Keywords: UI
You recently updated the ship info tree to include the ‘mastery’ tabs for skills requirements. Unfortunately, the mastery levels do not include the base ship skill in the tree.
For example, you can have a maxed out master V paladin character, with marauders level 1. Everything on the mastery and skills tab will be complete but in reality you’re missing the most key skill train.
This is misleading, especially for newer players.
The simple fix would be to add the corresponding ship skill to each tab (eg. mastery V would have marauders level V).
I think it would be good to go further however and have fit-specific mastery trees.
Namely: I have a fit for a caracal. The fit mastery would include every skill required to fly that ship from level 1-5. For example, if the caracal had t2 heavy missiles on, the fit-mastery level V would include heavy missile specialization V.
This gives you the ability to look at the ship you are flying or simulating, and see exactly what skills you need to be able to fly the ship with the fit you want to use at a glance, and what skills you need to make that fit better.
Either way, I think the mastery tab is at best not used to its full potential, and at worst, genuinely misleading as it currently is.
Suggestion: Rebalance Cold-Gas Enduring MWDs to actually have better capacitor than Quad-Lif Retrained MWDs.
Keywords: ui, modules, rebalance
Note: Cold-Gas Enduring MWDs are supposed to have better capacitor performance, but Restrained MWDs actually have better cap performance due to not penalizing total capacitor as much as the Enduring MWDs do.
Same fit, but the Restrained MWD vastly outperforms the Enduring MWD when it comes to capacitor. MWDs are a unique case compared to other modules because MWDs have a negative Capacitor Capacity Bonus.
The extra 5% capacitor capacity on the Quad Lif Restrained MWD allows for higher total capacitor and, as a result of the higher total capacitor, a higher capacitor recharge rate. This vastly outperforms the reduced Activation Cost of the Cold-Gas Enduring MWDs which are supposed to have the best capacitor performance. This disparity grows when you add in Mindflood which is a flat percentage bonus to total capacitor that scales better off of the higher total capacitor of the Quad Lif Restrained MWD.
Additionally, the Restrained MWDs are designed to, and do, have a lower Signature Radius Modifier. This mean they are vastly better MWDs when it comes to sig radius and capacitor effectively making the Enduring MWDs not worth fitting on any ship for any reason.
Suggestion: Remember setting for ‘disable ship exterior view’ per client/profile between restarts.
Keywords: UI, Settings, Graphics
The feature Toggle 3D view/disable ship exterior view (default CTRL+SHIFT+F9) that disables graphics, has to re-enabled on every restart per client, it would be very helpful if it could be remembered between sessions.
Suggeston: Increase number of ships you can Multifit at once
Keywords: Multifit, Fitting, Inventory, Logistics
Increase the overall number of ships you are able to Multifit at the same time, help with fleet logistics and make the multifit tool more useful to estimate missing items above 30 fits.
Suggestion: “make fleet boss” requires confirmation
Keywords: UI, Fleet
Note: make fleet boss is directly next to kick from fleet and requires no confirmation way to easy to misclick and do the exact opposite of what you wanted to, also possibly separate them a bit
Make structures in worm holes require a gas that has to be mined in that system. Gas gets destroyed when taking a wh so that people who live there have to be active besides having nothing but crab holes.
Suggestion: Structure Engineering Rigs should list all BPOs that are affected by the Structure Engineering Rig Bonus in the industry tab of that rig in the show info widow and vice versa
Keywords: ui, industry, QoL, BPC, BPO
Note: It can be very hard to know what specific Structure Engineering Rig will give a bonus to a specific BPO and vise versa if you have a BPO what Structure Engineering Rig will give you a bonus.
For example all items involved in industry already has a industry tab in show info that lists “Required For” and then a list of all BPOs that item is part of to build. Something similar would be very nice for structure rigs and BPO/BPCs since the industry UI isn’t very good at showing what rig give a ME or TE bonus to what BPO/BPC. by adding a similar “Required For” list but with “Gives Bonus To” or “Bonused by” and lists all the BPO that Structure Engineering Rig give a bonus to or vice versa in a BPO shows what Structure Engineering Rig will give a bonus to it.
For clarity I photoshopped examples of how it would look
Suggestion: Directional Scanner “hover function hotkeys” that work in the entire window to change the AU range and maybe also the angle.
Keywords: UI, quality of life, D-scan
When using the D-scan to search for targets you change the AU distance every second to find what range targets are at. Right now you can hold your mouse cursor in the “red box” and scroll to change in increments of 0.1AU and hold down “ctrl” to change in increments of 1AU.
Something similar should work in the entire window “yellow box”
Ofc you still need to be able to scroll in the D-scan window “yellow box” if there is a lot of things. but if ctrl is held down in that area it could behave just as in the “red box” and change the D-scan range in 1AU increments and maybe also holding down “alt” and scrolling would change it at 0.1AU increments. Maybe even hold down “shift” could change the angle.
Probe scanning in the solar system map already has similar “hover function hotkeys” for “ctrl” “alt” and “shift” + scrolling. Taking inspiration from that function to make D-scanning better would be really nice.
Suggestion: Current Implants listed in the top-left of UI.
Keywords: ui, implants
Note: Similar to how current active Boosters are shown.
Able to see an “Implants active” icon instead of opening Character or JC menus every time; be able to hover over to see exactly what is implanted, just like how Boosters work.
Suggestion: Show Site name rather than type when hovering over an entry in the probe scan window
Keywords: UI, Accessibility
Currently when you hover over an entry in the probe scan window, the tooltip is based on the site type (e.g. Combat, Relic, wormhole etc), however this information is always readily available through the icon. The site name, often provides much more useful information, eg distinguishing been a Forsaken Hub vs A Forsaken Rally Point, or an Amarr Medium NVY-1 vs an Amarr Medium ADV-3 - but the good part is usually at the end of the text so you need to reorder it resize (or both) the columns in the probe window to be able to read it
Suggestion: User interface option to choose Window Snap Distance.
Keywords: UI, quality of life
Currently when you drag two windows close to each other in the UI they will snap to each other. They snap according to the “Window Snap Distance”. This is set to 2 pixels currently and there is NO way to change it. HOWEVER it used to be possible to change to “0 pixels” or “Do not snap”. I have an old screenshot of this from like 15 years ago. Please re enable this UI option so it is possible to set it at least to “0 pixels” for a more tight UI look.
Suggestion: Make Black Market trading skillbook seeded and direct purchasable
Keywords: Skills, Trade, Hauling, Missions.
Note: Equality for all
Black market Trading is a skill from the old character creator. Skillbooks were never available and it is currently impossible for new players to obtain this skill. Contraband while less common, is a concern if someone wanted to experience the game and try running all the level 4 hauling missions.
suggestion: make pressing “toggle special bracket display” persist on restart
Keyworks: UI, Brackets, moon, overview
if you add moons to the brackets they still dont show up in the bracket list when you are offgrid
but pressing shift + alt + X makes them show up when your offgrid
if you out traveling and want to at lest try to not get smartbombed etc its super useful to have the moons show up so every single time you login you have to press shift+alt+x
edit: i see now i manage to mouse over 2 different places in system in the pic but still the same
