That CN Bastion is likely the main reason why he got targeted…oh and he’s in Caldari space, so that’s another mistake. Likely would have been fine with just a T2 fit, but players gottta be greedy. Oh and if this ship had the 100% extender bonus, still would have died to this same setup. 100% player awareness issue.

118k EHP vs. EM, so even with the extender bonus it would’ve been around ~160k EHP. Still not enough for a CONCORD-delayed 0.6 system.
And yeah, the 1+ billion Faction bastion module probably had something to do with it…

Well…its classic EVE, where things get ‘balanced’ to the extent that a battleship is only nominally ‘better’ than a destroyer. Whatever advantages you get for paying 10 times as much ISK are negated by ‘balancing’ everything. Then you have to fit expensive mods to your 10 times as expensive battleship to increase scan resolution and so on. So it becomes 20 times as expensive.
You end up with an expensive monstrosity that every ganker is after, when you’d probably just be better off tanking up a Talos which probably has more DPS and better scan res.
My Vargur is only 1.2bn ( cheap for a Marauder ) but I rarely ever fly it. Its just a glorified and expensive Tornado…and the Tornado delivers 2/3 of the alpha at 1/12th of the cost.

I think it is surprising that this doesn’t happen to you more often. Probably one of the strongest arguments to be made against the idea that ganking is out of control.
Ganking is like this bc Fenrir exacerbated the PLEX MtC ability to easily Multibox.
The fact that they refuse to give back Marauders and B.Ops the basic plate bonus all BS have, thus reducing survivability by 100%

Why not rewriting EVE official policies so we Marauder pilots don’t have to bend over and over all of our belongings to a bunch of criminals?
They still take 4x the time to make isk than Marauders, so they stay collecting DUST. This is the direct outcome of having corrupted CSM accepting isks for lobbying for the Multiboxers gang that one day saw their “easy juicy target” receiving some unexpected ability to fight back.
This is all on CSM, and Fenrir writing their policcies.
I will have no isk left by the end of the month by using T1 BS bc time to end missions is 4-8X and cost of everything else had doubled.

Enable a policy that makes all Marauders ganked content explode,
so no scoop, no recover. Bastion reacted like a nuclear explosion also killing everyone in the radius of 25 Km with the power of a Titan Doomsday. No more loot for gankers. Zero out their incentive to gank us out. Take away they juicy targets.
And have different mechanics in different systems, when Multibox Marauders gangs together. Deny them that power.
These are real policies designed around equilibrate Eve.
Take out the 100% bonus in Null and Pochven.
Leave it just for HS.
Policies are made to protect the already rich, and casual players need to gring lv 3 missions, in Alpha, bc no-one will pay Omega at this point, to male the same amount of money, that is 1/10 of what a Marauder can do in Omega.
CCP, Fenrir needs to change their policies and comes in Aid of us that are still here, until we are here, and the rich guys will not have us completely scooped out like a monkey brain in an Indian resort.
FYI i make 2.5 Eur/h., part time.

CCP have to rewrite their policies, this is the final stand.
They must protect T2 BS like all others in HS, and 0.5 sys is still MID.SEC.
New policies will mean take out the 100% bonus in Null-Sec and any Multiboxing fleet formations.
Wen policies mean make am Auto-destruction device built in the Bastion or just a modified Smartbomb just for Marauders that would destroy all loot, wrecks, and vaporize every ship in a 100KM radius.
SO no more incentives for gankers. All loot is gone. All non memebers of the fleet readyt oscop out would get insta.vaporized at the same time.
These are policies that would give Veteran and new players confidence CCP-Fenrir is listening to us, which are not part of the Ultra-rich multiboxing scene.
