Marauder ganked by 9 players---- no need 100% EHP?

Guess what? I lost a 1.5B Marauder to 9 T2 Bombers.
I OH Everything.
I started shooting at them
It was over in less then 15seconds.

Now please, explain me how Marauder do not deserve
the 100% Bonus plate.

I Survived ganks 0f 20 Dragoons with T2 Torps.

THis time it was a piece of cake.
And I had a Crytasl set, so double the active recharge.

I’m pissed.
Don’t blame on me the mechanics this or that,

CCCP Nerfed the Marauder back to stone Age and these are the consequences.

Only the CN Bastion was worth 1.1B

Here we go again… I posted this in another thread, but I’ll recap here… You need:

• 0.9-0.8 systems … 200k EHP minimum
• Add 75-100k EHP for each security level below 0.8
• Avoid 0.5 systems

So in a 0.6 system you need a minimum of 350-400k EHP. When I say EHP, I mean against Void, Conflag or your single weakest resist. I can’t see what you have for rigs, but I’m guessing T2 hydraulics since you’re using torpedoes. I’m also assuming implants weren’t Nirvanas.

It looks like you had a sizeable EM hole - which is what stealth bombers usually target (this or explosive).

Also, if you get ganked - always always overheat everything and Bastion immediately. Not sure if you realize this, but the Caldari Navy Bastion module drops your resistances by 10% (30% » 20%). The Republic Fleet Bastion module (while offering no missile benefits) increases your resistances from 30% » 40%.

We need Marauders Plate Bonus back, as with Black Ops.
This is all CCP Fault, playing with balancing, and leaving us
no choice but play with faction BS, and leave Marauders docked.

Why should I spend Plexes to get more time to a game that has only broken every little fix we came up with feedback in the years?

These last 4 years have been the worst.
They rolled back everything that could help Solo players survive
bloody gankers with multibox accounts 0f 10-15 ships…

And we can not even put up a fight!!!
You Can’t put up 400k EHP in a Marauder and keep 1000Hp/s anymore!!! Those days are gone!!! I had 160K EHP, I could have got even 200k EHP.

IT’s too low!!!

And the Faction Bastion? At least they could have made them cycle of 5 seconds… So Marauders could get a chance to read the scan and dock before it’s too late…

These are not coincidences.
Someone that has never played the game one day looked at some stats and decided what was best to get the most money out.

PS: No EM Hole. 1000HP/s rep, two OK T2 Multi.
I could not even target one of them.
Bc I would have one shot them.

I had two large plates, I used to fly in 0.5 (inaya) with 6 plates
and over 500k EHP.

I’ve b*tched about the loss of the plate/extender bonus on Marauders to no end. Because it was exploited by null-sec (Pochven, etc.), it’s extremely unlikely to return. If you have 400k EHP - you don’t need a massive active shield tank. On my Golem I run a Gistum A-Type medium shield booster - and that’s plenty.

You can run a Marauder just fine (even a semi-blingy Marauder). On a shield tank, always go with a Faction damage control. It’s worth every penny as it boosts your shields more than the T2 variant. Always run Nirvana implants in a Golem (this gets you most of your extender bonus back).

It’s worth getting less ISK/hour for choosing safer corporations to mission for, ie: ones that operate out of 0.9 systems. SoE is the worst - because you’re frequently in 0.5 systems (just begging to be ganked).

and the only thing that worked was the plate bonus.

If you active fit in high-sec - you’re dead. It’s as simple (and brutal) as that. Not really sure why you’re picking a fight with me on this - I’ve been advocating for the return of the plate/extender/hull bonus for years… 3/4 of the new Faction bastion modules will give you less EHP while painting a larger bullseye on your ship.

They stated that their policy is to change Marauder to be active tanking only… So there is no way to get back what was lost…

And you were an active partecipant in destroying the Marauders buffer tank with your feedbacks, that obviously had the priority over my feedback that went on and on for years to obtain a minimum of protection against gankers that was not just some paper tank, and some active tank that could be nulled by a cap-bomb in one.shot..

You should blame CCP-Fenrir and not anyway trying to teach me
how should I not fit an active tank Marauder… it’s the only way possible!!!

I would use a T1 Raven if I wanted to “buffer tank”, not certainly a Marauder… so why should we plex our account given the circumstances???

The Faction Bastion are broken, they should at least be 5s cycle for the price, then I can get the higher active tank (a joke) but it had longer missile reach also. They all should be changed to 5s cycle,
baceuse active tanking, with 1000HP/S is not enough. maybe 5K Hp/s could work. then change active tanking with a 1000% Boost.
But also give bastion EWAR resistance of 90% against NOS, NEUT, and CAP.BOMBS… otherwise it’s useless.

Active tanking is a complete failure vs Plate Bonus Buffer tank.

We need to pursue this battle, no water for anyone.

Fit your Marauder how you want. If you don’t understand how you can’t survive a gank in an active tank fit, I can’t help you…

• FC isn’t going to un-nerf/buff the Marauders for… reasons (I could list them again, but what would be the point).
• The Faction bastion modules are just fine - you just don’t realize what the trade-offs are or how to utilize them properly (or both).
• I’ve given you some “survival” tips (in broad terms), but you don’t seem amenable to them. I could even list a survivable fit, but it probably wouldn’t involve torpedoes (and I’m not really sure you’re interested in any event).

You don’t seem to want to take any constructive criticism, so other than popping online to vent here - I’m honestly not sure what you expect to accomplish? This has been fun!
