But isnt it a temporal solution?
I wish it would stay on my ship all the time,
does Shift C does that?

Shift C is a toggle to automatically track targets. Pressing it again toggles the feature off.

It’s a shortkey for the button left of your capacitor that does the same thing.

Personally I prefer to use the C shortkey, which allows you to track a target by clicking on it only while you hold C. Useful to see which direction a target on your overview is.

I feel like my keyboard is boycotting me…
I’m space sick of tracking targets and
when I untrack the targets manually,
the next will lock on…

In case your shortkey doesn’t work, try next to the capacitor the button that’s blue for me:

Mine only tracks targets when requested, except when I am using autopilot. I notice the autopilot snaps tracking to the next gate or station on the list. Pretty sure this is unavoidable, unless you manually jump. The tracking icon doesn’t appear but the red “X” displays on the upper right on top of “look at” and you can change focus to your ship, but the next jump will have it focus on the next gate instead.

Have fun!
