So this ship I am flying -a wolf- is capacitor stable as the fitting window say and also I have been flying her for a while and I know it is cap stable, but now for no reason at all the capacitor depletes in a quite short time with no reason for it. Ticket is being submited, blah, blah, blah…
Were you in J-space at the time?
What is the context?
Are you fighting enemies with energy neutralizers? Are you warping across large distances? Is your ship under the effect of certain system buffs that make it use capacitor faster?
Low sec.
Several contexts, several wolfs, same fit or similar, several systems, with and without enemies, with and without rats, no neuts in any of the situations.
- Could you post your fit?
- Is there a storm the systems where you have this issue? Which storm?
- What are you doing when you run out of cap? (Something like ‘In warp’, ‘starting a PvP fight’, ‘happens after minutes of killing NPCs’, etc).

Is your fit stable when you don’t have the nos running?
I was checking with the hope the problem was solved. I think having the mwd on will make the cap deplete by itself but when I do my tests I have mwd on and point and arty cannons.
Opps.
I guess the nosferatu was it?
Glad we found the issue!
Yes, thanks for your help. Is a happy end while I also feel stupid for not notticing something I should have. Oh well its not the first time I forget something and the thing is there is not nasty bug after all. Problem solved.
The warp disruptor consumes a hell of a cap. I come also out of this with a little piece of new knodlege.
hehe…
The fitting window gives you a pictures when everything works perfectly together. Like everything you ever dreamed off is perfect.
And when you fit a NOS to any fit, always be extremely skeptical about the cap. The only ships you can fit a NOS and think… that looks correct is the Cruor, Shimu and Bhaal.
Its always good to click all the modules that use capacitor in simulated fit when you have problems with cap, and see how stable the fit is.
NOS is that tricky thing that messes with the cap on many levels.
