No, the 48 hours is the advance notice:

“We will give at least 48 hours of notice before initiating the blackout so pilots can make the necessary preparations.”

Alright my bad, yikes nullsec.

The impression i got is they are going to turn it on and off again everynow and then.

But no information on when except that it starts roughly a week or two weeks from now and that they will give 48 hours notice for each black out.

Each blackout lasts for an undisclosed period of time and the ‘event’ lasts indefinitely.

Or it may just be one big blackout…
