After reviewing the rules, I don’t see anything out and out saying this can’t happen, but do recommend you ask a GM about it.
i am confirming the exchange, doctor blow fin was his character before and he want him back, waiting now for an answer, but there is nothing against the rules, do not see any rules against this.

The character being sold must receive the ISK for the purchase and only ISK. Characters may not be sold in exchange for items
thats why i didn’t think it was within rules, since its basically exchange… if im wrong, then i’m wrong.
Character isn’t being sold , we are just agreeing to transfer characters, which we now have both agreed in and out of game. just putting it on the forums so the arrangement is recorded if something was to go wrong.
Just pay e other 1isk and you’re golden.
I would be very surprised if CCP allows this exchange to proceed as a straight swap. I am sure that your case is a genuine exchange. However, if this is to set a precedent, which CCP would have to allow if they allow your exchange, then it would likely open the floodgates to all kinds of under-the-table exchanges, which would have a long-term detrimental effect on the game. The easy solution to your case, as the previous poster alluded to, is to treat it as 2 sales that are technically independent of each other.
