Sadly old arena did not make it into CSM, next chance next year it seems

Latest SISI update added next formats, starting January 12, meaning they finally bring it back.
This thread therefore is no longer needed, I can now focus again on requesting the old arena, that was available through a 2nd gate in last room of an abyssal site.
