Suggestion for new player acquisition and retention

I think the time spent training up the Core Fitting Skills is probably the biggest barrier for new players to effectively play the game. If new characters automatically started out with the Core Fitting Skills already trained, they could engage in more game content much sooner which would help new player retention.

As for the new character Cerebral Accelerators, I think limiting them to characters with 20 mill SP’s or less would be fine since that’s the Alpha SP cap. Could have the accelerators be available as a reward for completing a specific task once a week. Also when consumed the accelerators would only last for 2 days.

Now about the Skilling Spree, I think the tasks should be a choice between various careers instead of just killing NPC’s. The SP task would be daily and the reward would taper off as the character gains higher SP’s. For example Characters with 5 mill SP’s or less would get 50K SP task reward. Characters with 10 mill SP’s or less would get 25k SP task reward. Characters with 20 mill SP’s or less would get 10k SP task reward.

After that the character would be skilled / self sufficient enough to engage in game content of their career choice.

Another person who needs to look at the REAL NUMBERs released by CCP.

The vast majority of new players never leave new player systems, never get ganked.

And yet somehow you think you are a design expert and call the people who correct you trolls.

Go away newbie.

you failed to elaborate on where player ingenuity has been nerfed. Please take a step or three away from your soapbox and pay attention to the topic of the thread you keep commenting on. Thanks.

Honestly highsec needs to be buffed, you do that and new player retention goes sky high.

So, how the proposal here is connected to highsec?

PvP trash like yourself want highsec to be nerfed, true friends of newbies and those who want more newbies to stay in the game will advocate for highsec buffs

By buffing highsec, the permanent home of the vast majority of newbies and the home of the majority of all players, you improve player retention.

What kind of buffing would you suggest for highsec systems?

If you want more newbie retention, then your going to want to buff highsec.

More and better pve content, full capital access up to supers and titans, improved general income earnings, so that newbies can reasonably play and work their way up to a plex and decent ship, and finally a good new player experience, with a broad introduction to the game, and make it good and keep it like that, changing it every 2 months does not help things.

It doesn’t clearly show that at all. It shows how you can get to small turret 5 in just under a week. Wow. How equal.

Honestly, what a stupid thing for you to say.

You’re an idiot. Grow up.
