Continuing the discussion from Rise your game experience with Rise of Exiles Corporation your new Space Home: I played EVE for a few months a couple years ago. As a new player I couldn’t fly the “Doctrine” ships that were required for the “Mandatory fleets”. My CEO asked me one day if I would log off the game while there was a Fleet going so the Corp didn’t get dinged for having a player on that wasn’t in the fleet! Needless to say that irked me… so I said “Sure I can!” I logged out and canceled my account! Wasn’t going to pay for a game I couldn’t play whenever I wanted! A couple years later, I decided to give EVE another go. I joined a high Sec Corp and avoided all the politics crap that caused me to bail last time. It didn’t take me long to AGAIN be disappointed by a CEO.
Still wanting to play the game, I decided there had to be a place for me and my play style SOMEWHERE in this vast galaxy. I came to the recruitment site and saw a name “Parry Potter” He was recruiting for a Corp name ROEXX. As a Harry Potter fan myself, I thought surely this is the type of person I can groove with! I reached out and was contacted by the CEO directly! Radu Capusan himself! He asked me to speak with him on voice coms via discord. (So already in my mind I see a potential friend in Parry Potter just based on the name and a CEO willing to take the time to meet a prospect! On top of that, They were in Null Sec and as a miner…. That’s the place to be. Last but not least, They obviously use voice coms so I don’t have to type all day! Don’t tell Radu, but I was sold already….) We get on coms, Radu and I, and my very first impression was the kindness and respect that was freely given before I even uttered a single word!
I told Radu of my experience with the mandatory fleets and that I just wanted to play the game PVE and had no desire for PVP. He assured me that he would make it happen. He had me leave everything in high Sec and move to null where he gave me starter ships to rat and mine. The Corp then went as far as helping me get a second account so I could mine with boosts even if I was solo. (That didn’t happen often, There are many multibox miners in the Corp and they are always willing to let you tag along…) Long story short, I have brought a couple of friends I made in High Sec into the Corp as well and none have cursed me for it! As for my high sec assets… They may still be there I neither know nor care, I have 10 accounts now that I pay for with PLEX and just enjoy rock busting and talking smack in Discord! The people of ROEXX old and new are top notch. I am Home!!!
