We are thrilled to release the Catalyst expansion to EVE Online today! Here you will find links to helpful information with regards to the Catalyst expansion.
Please feel free to share your thoughts and feedback here for this patch version.
âRather than using a flat, top-down projection of the universe, the 2D map features a manually arranged layout. Each system has been carefully positioned to avoid nodes overlapping and create a map of New Eden that feels familiar, recognizable, and easy to navigate.â
Most people build up a mental map similar to âturn left, turn right, etcâ of a road map. My intuitive take has always been that as you come out of Mirilene into Vittenyn, Trossere is then on your right and Bourynes is on your left. But the new map shows the reverse.
New annoyance introduced without ability to disable it - the bell sound when warping into belt, the HUMONGOUS notice on how much the belt is depleted, partial reset of graphic settings. The old bug of buttong blinking âYou have rewardsâ while you do not have rewards is still here. I will post more when I find it.
ML-3 Scoped Survey Scanner had a cpu usage of 4. Now it needs 6, so my very nice and tight fit broke. Was that change really necessary, ccp?
Also, i feel sorry for all those new players who have to make a 48 jump trip over from Deepari to Kisogo to get their new ship, and 48 jumps back. This arc should had been placed more in the middle of the map. Or why not in more than one empire?
Mining lasers, strip miners, and ice harvesters can now experience critical successes, granting bonus yield without reducing the remaining ore in the asteroids. The chance of a critical success starts at 1% and the bonus yield from a critical success starts at 200% of the standard yield of that cycle, with both values able to be increased through skills, modules, and mining foreman bursts. Critical success notification will appear on-screen with added audio and visual cues to inform players when a crit occurs.ââ
When I read this, I thought, great, my Harvest Implant Set and Mining Faction Modules will finally get a little something extra.
Well, no, nothing has changed at all.
Iâm happy with my faction set, but it doesnât add anything to the expansion, even though it says it does.
I can see a bad idea coming, where new modules will arrive just for critical hitsâŚ
However, the button to compress everything is there, which is really cool. But for the rest of what I mentioned, itâs a shameâŚ
As for the rest, I canât say yet, as I havenât tested them.
EDIT: I see what modul and exactly only one module give bonus for critical. The old survey scanner (Scanner for rock). Not are incredible. But we have that.
and u cannot save changes on transparency if u set âShader Qualityâ as âLowâ, once u rerun client Transparency will be set to default value-âFullâ
i have all graphic setting set as âLowâ or âDisabledâ and every time I logint to a character, its Transparency will be reset to âFullâ and checkbox âEnable window blurâ will be checked and DISABLED.
Reproduction:
Set Shader Quality to Medium, uncheck âEnable window blurâ then set Transparency to âOffâ and set Shader Quality to Low.
Quit client and relogon, âEnable window blurâ will be checked and disabled and Transparency will be set to âFullâ.
Custom color themes resets to default every time you close the client, it also erases your custom color themes. I updated all my clients to my preferred custom theme, just to have it erased.
Okey this might be a very very dumb feed back I know im an idiot so no need to point it out.
But I think that Pioneer should have 10k m3 of ore while the venture has it´s 5k then you can change so that the Covetor has 13-14k and change so that Procurer has 17-18k m3 instead of 16k m3 and keep the retriever 27500 m3.
and the Pioneer consortium issue can have 11-12k m3
I mean if the pioneer shall be a middle ground 3000 more M3 is okey but I think it would make more sense if the Pioneer can hold 2 times what the venture can so if the venture is 5000 m3 then pioneer should hold 10k m3 to make is feel better than a venture.
