What is your favourite LVL4 mission running ship?

I’m saving for the new Triglavian marauder.

Great for structure bashing; not so much for L4s…

Sucks for most PvE content, because each target will be dead long before you can reach a significant spoolup damage. And that means you will be firing with much less DPS than any other Marauder most of the time, while your ship costs 5 times as much and will attract gankers like flies.

The Babaroga begins to compete in C5/C6 wormholes where each Sleeper Battleship has hundredthousands of eHP, or in case of the Drifter Boss, even millions…

I would love to use my Babaroga for PvE in high-sec, but it’s the least efficient of any of my Marauders for this task. So it collects dust…

I don’t get this obsession with HighSec tho… join a group that runs content in HighClass WHs and just use it. It’s fun. It’s rewarding and you can use all the shiny toys you want there.

High-sec is ideal if you’re a solo player…

Low end WH’s are ideal for solo players. C2 is where I made my isk. It’s not worth sticking around after bashing and no one even cares about a good C2.

If I didn’t experience so many disconnects I might be less risk averse…

I am a big fan of a blaster fit Kronos. Nothing more fun than aggroing everything in the room, popping all the frigs and dessies with null before they close range, and then swapping to void to absolutely maul the larger hulls.

I used to use a sniper sentry Dominix Navy which was painfully boring after a while. The whole ritual of MJD away, MJD back, and sacrificing a mid slot for a MJD or going without a regular prop mod to compensate the slot was frustrating. It also feels really disconnected from the action being 100km away from the targets.

Dabbled in other races hulls, but nothing really spoke to me the way a face-tank Kronos does. Blapping BS NPC’s when you can see the whites of their eyes is peak Eve.

Edit: also it is notable that Kronos with proper tank and mid grade askleps you can face tank a whole room and go AFK for a phone call or delivery and come back and still be in one piece. Handy if real life interferes mid-mission.

Also for anomic agent and team missions I use the Nergal and all the fits from HateLess Gaming (RIP) in his “One frigate all burners” video. Expensive investment to get all the mods for all the fits, but once you have them all saved in your fittings it makes them gravy and they are the bulk of my LP.

For L4 running I prefer a Vargur. It’s quick, efficient and fun. Use drones to kill pesky web/scram frigates, bonused 800mm AC II for larger ships and a MTU if you like salvaging. No need for super expensive bling modules either. Mine is all T2 fitted so it’s less of a gank magnet.

Any Marauder is a step in the right direction.

TBH any Battleship is sufficient.

I used to run vs Angels in a Maelstrom with Arty and an MJD

Shame there’s no Maelstrom Fleet Issue.

At least you’re not torn up over the loss…

It was 13 years ago…

I think at the time I was somewhat disappointed in myself, losing a BS to rats, but had enough spare ISK to replace it.

That would explain the low hull price for the Maelstrom…

Im gonna have to keep these ships in mind. All I got right now is a Fed NI Domi mommy. Im skilled up for T2 Max warden snipping.

I like the cerberus, legion or Tengu

cheap and fast my marauders are to expensive

I only wash them 1 a year

Daredevil!

It used to be the Machariel and the Marauders, but after a cascade of changes and nerfs, I can’t point to any ships larger than a faction or pirate frigate anymore.

Props for running lvl 4s in a frigate, I used to do it, and it’s fun, if not particularly quick.
