I live in South East QLD, Australia. We’re currently in the middle of a heat wave and it’s resulted in sickness for me. My ‘something of a break’ is ‘two days in hospital, then home for bedrest for another fourteen days’. Started on Monday so I’m only just out of hospital a few days ago. I can’t fly a passenger plane until I have a 100% bill of health, regardless of the aircraft’s size. I’m starting out small with regional twin-turboprops but I’m aiming for international. Wanna see more of the world.
I missed you so much Remiel <3
It was not aggressive. I tell you that you should go play “another game” that is another space.
When I say “WH” it stands for wormhole-space.
I expect you to enjoy Eve more when going in another space, because I don’t find this behaviour you say you dislike in nullsec. It was a genuinely friendly advice, you are over-reacting.
I appreciate the general quality of yor posts. However when I notice your only example of an issue is related to HS suicide gankers, the only advice I can give you is to go to another space. And point out what you are not saying.
Nah
CCP proved otherwise
Donsome research instead of typing the same nonsense over and over Rod
No you didn’t.
Anyway, I’ve been busy finally locking down a full-time IRL career that’ll give me lots of time off for gaming, and lots of money for it too. My life is complete. I’m doing what I love in every aspect of it, flying, and gaming. I’m even doing both at once.
Awk I like to imagine I did.
But its true, Omir Sarakusa is the only heart-throb in this initiate’s dreams <3
GF is complicated. If I have a good fight that is actually fun I won’t say something as stupid as “gf” but I will comment on it intelligently. I can’t stand pubbies who say gf because if its a sincerely good fight they deserve better than that. I never mind too much when I get dunked, because it’s always someone’s turn eventually.
Minmil is infamous for badfites though…never seen them hold still for a fair fight. And then when they do win a fight they grossly exaggerate their win. It’s very easy to fight these people as I cannot respect that. So I would never GF them, until I see a fair and willing fight, but on the other hand they just “GF” me when I was in a thrasher versus 3 harpies. And then they trashtalked so hard they broke the TOS. For evil people like me, this is really handing it to me on a platter, because it’s like a legit way to kill on a level that cannot be reached in the game alone. And they deserve it of course, no one wants to play a game with an enviroment like LoL. I really have to wonder what kinds of people fight for minmil sometimes. Obviously pubbies who use “gf” right before invalidating the sentiment by threatening doxxing.
So yeah, that’s why people say gf but it’s become a sentiment that is almost worthless nowadays. I like to have a good relationship with my opponents and all in the manner of fair sportsmanship. The best way to do this is to sincerely say “that was fun” or something original, or give them isk if they are newbees.
Otherwise, if it was just a standard 3v1 gatecamp odds, just align your ship and save your pod, no need to focus on it.
some times its a legit sentiment, other times it’s the equivalent of saying “ezgame ezlife”
It’s great to hear from someone who’s worked their arse off to achieve what they wanted to in life, there’s not enough of it these days, imho.
Well done and “gf” (good flying)
So I just have to ask.
Have ever hesitated - for even just a micro-second - to use Auto-Pilot in case you might get ganked in flight?
–Inquiring Gadgets want to know
Most fights in Eve honestly deserve a ‘gfys’. ‘gf’ is highly abused.
There hasn’t been an ‘autopilot’ in what I’ve flown. You can trim control surfaces manually to achieve hands-off level flight, sit back and eat some munchies and just monitor the gauges and keep your eyes open for traffic, but if you’re not at the controls, your copilot is. Someone is always there keeping an eye on things. Autopilot in a bigger jet, though, is a necessity. Endurance flights irl aren’t just click gate > jump. They’re physically strenuous, and pilots need to eat and sleep, just like the passengers. Being hands- and eyes-on full time for eight to twelve hours, or more, can’t be expected from anyone. Pilots and copilots will take shifts, and for long-haul flights, there will even be multiple cabin crews aboard.
On that note, here’s a fun fact. The Su-34 is a Russian fast jet bomber with anti-ship and CAS capability, but it’s best used for long-range precision strike operations. It’s based off the Su-27 airframe but with side-by-side seating for a crew of two (like in the F-111). Because of its massive range and potential for very long flights, the cockpit comes equipped with a small bunk, a galley, and a bathroom.
The real trick is to have a real passion for something. That’s the difference, I think, between a career, and a job.
Mine used to, but you know, tit for tat.
