$2000 Floating Nyx a CCP Scam?

Its just an answer for question provided.

They dont buy it because its too expensive for quality provided. With injection molding its still cheaper and better quality, but with many parts needed to be produced.

Thing is they would need a lot of models to produce and sell, for it to be cheap enough. For that they would probably need more than just EVE playerbase as customers. And definitely not those kinds of shipping prices as in the EVE store.

yea that’s right, but they could limit the parts to build making it cheaper to produce. would be hard to sell to non EVE players, if only that TV show we where promised had happened, bigger footprint out on there would sell them but not as we are right now, still a good few of us that play it that would buy it, just not enough to make a profit so there lies the problem.

so if they did make models, they would not be cheap.

Plastic sprue model producers would fall over each other to get a license to make EVE ship models with an existing client base that EVE has.

The cost involved in creating the molds and designing the sprues is negligible.

Many such producers make limited runs all the time.

Doesnt need to be LED lit, or float.
Just a simple injected plastic sprue that the buyer assembles/paints themselves.

I would really like to see something close to GW Gothic scale.

Actually, CCP, find a credible physical game company to make an EvE miniature game. Star Wars could use some competition.

OR, better yet, how about a strategic sov based board game! Board games are still cool.
