Let me ask you something. Do you know of anyone who mixes drones in groups? Say a medium drone with a light drone? Why not put drones of the same type in the same group? Isnt that the whole point of it? Thats why it makes sense to say “release the highest hp drones first” but i have rephrased it so satisfy people like urself :slight_smile: but im sure u can find something else to nitpick. Its actually not a surprise that CCP doesent deliver quality content when you think about it. Why should they when there is such an amount of nitpicking?

Why would I mix medium and light drones? Any way you cut it that’s a DPS loss.

A Vexor has a bandwidth of 75 and a drone bay capacity of 125. So a full flight would be 2 heavies, 2 mediums and a light.

Now, it’s true, you could separate all those different sizes into multiple groups, but I would expect most people would have their primary setup in a single group so it only takes a single click, drag, or hotkey to launch the group.

To anyone who reads this, if you really enjoy this game, the best thing you can do is cancel your Omega subscription immediately. Because CCP is nothing but a rent seeker at this point. Dont give them your money. Let the game fall into better hands.

So what is the problem? There is 5 drones in the group. If the game prioritized the highest HP one, all 5 would still release. I am not arguing for some magic one size fit all solution btw. I am not arguing for perfection. But if the game prioritized to release non damaged drones over damaged ones it would be better

But are you actually gonna do this? Because your application’s all over the place. You’re almost certainly better of flying 5 light, 5 medium, or 3 heavy depending on your target.

You actually don’t need to use your entire bandwidth.

The above flight is not efficient indeed, but what about 2 webbing drones and 3 heavies? Such mixed group makes sense to me.

But you can’t put those in a single group which was the specific point.

It’s been a while since I checked the numbers, but that was max damage output years ago. Running 3 geckos might be better, but if you’re going to spend that kind of money you’d run an ishtar anyway.

Granted, if you’re just killing cruisers and frigs, you’ll just run a flight of lights and mediums.
