Please have a Post Mortem about this and look into the issues which players active abuse game mechenics to cause massive tidi until the node collaps and if possible declare it as exploit.
Otherwiese people will adapt to it and only do this…
Watch the Stormbringer or Skybreaker fleet breaking any tidi fight with easy.
This has been brought up multiple times every big battle. One side will always find a way to push all their ships through and not let the other side.
Plus if they told ccp before hand that they expected say 5k people and over 10k shown up, thats on the corp leaders for not accurately giving ccp proper notice to try to keep the nodes from breaking down.
Problem is, it isnt just died because of the fight. it mainly died, because of certain Fraternity vexor pilots, dropping out t1 drones, abandoning them, then repeat. once empty, just left the ship as well, and picked up a new one. i’m very curious, if the devs would like to do anything about that part. its not an issue when the numbers are small. but we’re talking about 2000 vexors throwing out drones then just leaving them. which in my book should get the attention of the devs, as well as taking some sort of measures to deter players from similar actions.
Only in these Kinds of mega blob fights. When a node is reinforced, and a timer is being fought over. Not general day to day. Wouldn’t of helped much yesterday mind
You may not engage in any activity that increases the difficulty and/or expense of CCP in maintaining the EVE Online client, server, web site or other services for the benefit and enjoyment of all its users.
they could come up with more genius solutions to such fights, the higher the threat in the system like the bigger the ships that get put in , add restriction to not allow smaller ships in the system + kick out of the system by teleport everything smaller and just restrict the figh to the big ships only , there is no way one could put 10.000 titans in a system could they u know what i mean ?
that way players are forced to fight titan vs titan and similar ideas such as this
if you mean sir, that dropping out millions of drones, then abandoning them and then repeat on purpose, to crash the node, qualifies as intended game mechanic, there might be some issues with my collective understanding. from where i came from, this could not go under the word “intended”
Question regarding exploit policy vs. game mechanics:
Can CCP clarify if weaponizing a “broken grid” (e.g., via massive drone spam) is now considered a legitimate gameplay mechanic, or is it classified as an exploit?
During the node crash, we faced a very specific and severe bug: logging in on the Keepstar or jumping through the K-IYNW gate resulted in a permanent black screen with no overview. However, players jumping into the system via D-I9HJ, U6D-9A, or using cynos outside of that specific grid loaded in and operated completely fine (within standard TiDi expectations).
Is intentionally creating this state an allowed tactic moving forward?
