20261013 - Bug Reporting Offline

UPDATE: Bug reporting through the EVE launcher is back online. In-client bug reporting is still being worked on.

Hello capsuleers,

The ability to submit bug reports within the EVE client and through the EVE launcher is temporarily unavailable while we troubleshoot some issues and perform some maintenance. There is currently no ETA for when the work will be completed but we will update you here in this thread.

In other news we are pleased to announce that the number of bug reports has dropped to zero. We can only conclude that this is because everything with EVE Online is now perfect.

never watched that show, never will

Thought I’d just post this here if it’s down as it’s a bit more impactful than regular bugs I find: there’s been an issue with the guristas forsaken hubs. For some reason when you’re looking at your ship, even if zoomed out, every time the enemy fires a weapon or missile the entire screen starts strobing like crazy and flashes white. It’s a bit problematic for epileptic people and none of the normal diagnostic issues like swapping dx or graphics settings seem to impact it.

Has a 100% reproduction rate for me on a 3060rtx atm. Weirdly enough looking at any other wreck or ship on the field stop it’s completely as long as you’re not looking at your ship. Noticeable on the ishtar, way worse when using a proteus and some other ships.

Over the past three days, many players have experienced significant lag. Ships take a very long time to pass through gates (15 seconds), and production or scanning windows take up to two minutes to open. This isn’t affecting everyone—I’ve heard about 20 people in the help chat mentioning it—and I am facing the same issues. Is this due to game-side problems, or is it an issue with our networks? WinMTR shows 50% packet loss within my ISP’s network, whereas there used to be around 20% loss on the backbone connection to Europe. With 70% total packet loss now, the game is barely playable. Could you please clarify the nature of the problem and suggest any possible solutions? Here is what the loglite showed during the first few minutes after launch. Thank you for your work.

dont know why, but i had to compleatly decomission and replace a planetary extractor to get it to start extracting again, not the first time it has happened

Same problem.
There are significant delays when using stargates: upon entering a new system, there is a wait of about 5–7 seconds for local data to update. During this time, no ship actions are possible.
There is also a delay of 3 to 10 seconds when opening containers found via scanning.
Navigating to https://www.eveonline.com/cdn-cgi/trace displays a game website page with the following text: “Page not found. This destination does not exist, or has been obliterated. We recommend using a simplified Jump Drive developed for exactly this scenario; your browser’s ‘back’ button.”
