3/17/22 - Singularity Updated - Rorqual Conduit Jump

If you want to do a flat fee like the Titans Stront cost, you should use Heavy Water. No need to add a new fuel type to carry.

To come back to the stront idea:

Stront may not be needed after all.

As I interpret it, stront is a baseline cost for titan bridges, which ensures opening a titan bridge for a couple frigates has some cost, even though their mass fuel cost is negligible compared to bridging a much heavier freighter.

A Rorqual will not have such big mass differences between ships they bridge: the heaviest ships Rorquals will be able to bridge are barges and exhumers, rather than massive freighters.
This means the fuel per mass cost for taking the industrial bridge can be significantly higher for frigates, while keeping the cost of bridging the heaviest ships reasonable.

This means the cost for bridging frigates doesn’t have to be negligible and can come from fuel, rather than stront. And that may be nice for Rorqual pilots who already have to bring two types of fuel.

(This does leave a question:
What is the purpose of the jump portal generator skill if levels 2-5 do nothing for two of the three jump portal generators in the game?)

While talking about jump portal generators:

Is there a reason conduit jumps do not take the Jump Fuel Conservation skill into account?

Conduit jumps are a flat fee by design at the moment, which is already quite low. Originally this was to make the conduit jump for blackops particularly attractive over the portal to encourage the ships to get on field - and we just decided to stick with that paradigm here as well, rather than adding in new complexities to it.

Why not just force the issue and remove bridging entirely, like off grid boosting and passive moon goo?

Because jumping also has its purposes and is quite useful

EVE literally stands for “Everyone vs Everyone”.

The game is pvp in all fields in one way or another.

@CCP_Aurora I see the login daily rewards now grants skill points at random on Singularity. Honestly, this is worse than removing them from the 30 day progression. 150k SP from the 30 day progression was a ~10% SP bonus to my Omega time. It was in my pocket. I could count on it. I was looking for it. Sure, I only play for about 1 year, so I took it for granted. Again, I don’t mind if you remove the 30 day progression: I’ll park my alpha alts, and will spend more time on my Omega main.

I know some people love casinos and everyting rng, but I don’t.

so you made a industrial jump bridje that cannot jump industrial ship like transport ships and orca so

YEAH

YOU JUSTE MADE AN USELESS MODULE

contrats to ■■■■ it up as always

@anael_kyshimoto

Transport ships are called ‘Haulers’ now, to make clear that these are not the ships that take industrial bridges and jumps.

If you want a hauler to take an accessible (non-titan) jump bridge, I can recommend using a CovOps bridge to bridge the CovOps Blockade Runners around.

The Porpoise can take the industrial jump bridge, if you’re looking for an industrial command ship to take the Rorqual bridge. The Orca is a size too big (basically almost a capital ship by itself), you will need a Titan bridge to get those around.

The module can bridge all mining ships, which is the intended purpose. So it’s useful at what it does.
