Amazing interview, really enjoyed watching it.
Even though you are an Init member (I’m a hordebean), I’m still voting for you. As an aspiring developer, both IRL and for Eve, seeing someone advocate for ESI and third-party dev stuff makes my heart happy.
Also, the fact that AA is on GitLab instead of GitHub warms my heart almost as much
This is a no-brainer vote for me, it’s extremely important for CCP to keep supporting 3rd party tools and APIs, it’s unimaginable what EVE would’ve become without contributions from 3rd party tools. A candidate from open source and developer community is a must for keep improving the eco system.
It makes my heart happy to have new developers and to do whatever I can to support and represent them.
Going to be entirely honest, this wasnt my call, but gitlab has really grown on me in a lot of ways, they do still have some learnings to take on board after their rapid expansion in wake of the github exodus though, many growing pains.
+1
the ESI needs some TLC, Ariel is the one that can drive this
All CSM candidates this question
Fighting against toxicity is a strong case, as it comes with the territory of gaming -everywhere-
However. How would you handle a hypothetical stalemate wherein both parties are believe the other to be toxic, but only one party can really be telling the truth.
But then again, truth is based on the perspective of the perceiver.
How would you handle this?
I wouldn’t handle this at all
Why would this even be anything to do with the CSM.
as mike asked, why even ask this AFTER polls closed?
Y’know… you make a VERY GOOD POINT.
Why would this have anything to do with the CSM?
Why would a number of current CSM candidates believe it’s vital to their platform to address such circumstances as part of their “pledge” to voters to fight toxicity?
… Seems a bit trumped up imo.
As I replied in his thread, I have my reasons.
I have two reasons I believe GitLab is better, both of them meme/bias reasons KEKW:
- GitLab isn’t blocked on my school WiFi, GitHub is.
- My uncle literally works for GitLab
I’m glad that GitLab has grown on you
