Stumbling my way back into EVE. Finding myself as an Indy pilot in a PVP corp.

So it happened after a 10 year long break I downloaded and logged back into EVE. Talk about changes. That EVE online cliff of a learning threatened to drown me, I survived those initial days and figured I would take it easy. I’ve always been primarily industrial focused, mine and building ■■■■ so you crazies can shoot people in the face! During this time, I came across another person returning from a 10 year long break (Looking at you Dammaz!! How dare you! You made me want to give up my rock crunching ways!!!).

Anyways What is EVE truly about? It is about friends getting together and doing stuff. Trading tips, helping each other, finding and or creating content whatever it may be.

Last time I was in Null was as a renter Corp and let me tell you it sucked!!! I did not want to do it again, but hey the new friend I made was telling me about this fantastic group of people at the corporation level to how the alliance was structured. I suck at PVP not going to lie, I had hardly any skills in killing. I was even more hesitant with Black Aces being a PVP focused corp. In the end I left a clone in high sec and said if all else fails I can jump out of the chaos.

I quickly found myself running a blockade and sitting down in Null Sec with Black Aces and flying with Imperium. I was afraid I would not meet the monthly requirements to be able to stay in the corp. The truth be told, it was easy, almost too easy. There is always something going on. There are several options for new pilots or pilots with focuses on other things than DPS fit ships. I was handed several tackle frigs, and low SP requirement support ships. Told to burn to glory and hold targets. I quickly trained into a flycatcher and learned not to bubble the damn fleet. It has been a blast! I am still primarily an Indy pilot but now I’m learning to have teeth and loving it. Black Aces have been supportive the whole time; I could not ask for a better group of people to fly with.

Getting into the Black Aces, first have 50 million SP, then two characters, and be willing to join a fleet or two a week. There is always something going on in the alliance, from hey let’s go poke the neighbors and see if can get a response, maybe it is a group of idiots in our space lets go fix that. Then there are other groups of people in the alliance doing stuff, from mining to support. This place is run like a fortune 500 company, with all the bells and whistles to support its people. The people themselves, while varied in their backgrounds, all come together with a sense of pride to support the space we occupy and keep the community whole and operating. It is a will-oiled machine that just keeps turning.

There are fantastic Isk-making potential, and solid backbone support to keep such a large community moving forward. With more content and options, you can shake a stick at. Don’t wait for the right moment, I found it worth the risk. Sometimes you just need to take a leap and see where your feet land. Change does not have to be that scary.

Got one yesterday, does not look impressive until you see what was in the cargo! Some things just don’t have real market values listed. I can imagine the salt storm from this kill was real, I know if it was me, boy I would have been pissed.
