Bug reports, will they ever be fixed again?

It’s been a few years already that I cannot see the status of my bug reports, cannot interact with follow-up questions and cannot find back the numbers of my bug reports.

Will the bug report tool ever be fixed again?

Doesn’t it clearly tell in the message that they can’t (maybe don’t want) further interaction with bug reports by customers starting from the point in time when that message was added?

So if you want interaction, do a support ticket instead. There is a category for “Technical Support” - “Game Client Issues”.

So now I need to make support tickets just to ask my bug ticket number when I forgot to write that down?

Or bother support with another ticket to ask if I’ve reported a particular bug before?

A functional page where I could see my old bug reports and statuses was helpful.

I cannot even tell the status of my latest report. I only saw an error in the logs just now telling me about a ‘failed attachment’ in the bug report, but I don’t know how much of that attachment went through. And they cannot ask me about it either, because there’s no way to interact with the new bug reporting tool.

I cannot even tell if my bug reports succeeded at all besides that error, there’s no visible status at all. If the bug report system failed we might never even know (or be able to report on it) until CCP starts wondering why there aren’t any bug repors coming in.

It would be helpful if players got more feedback about the bug reports we sent in, like we got on the old bug page.

Will it ever be fixed again?

Don’t know, i am not working for CCP…maybe send the question to the CSM in the CSM area or do a support ticket with the question?

I would also think that interaction via bug reports could do a good service to the QA of EVE…but we are just players…we don’t know the reasoning of CCP. I would guess the technical difficulties mentioned on the page are not the real cause. For that it has taken too long already and we both know that they have software developers at CCP that could rather easily implement or update such an interface if needed.

There may be other causes for the takedown besides technical ones, such as not big enough workforce or not enough funds for that workforce to interact with players and their bug tickets.
Maybe they got flooded and don’t want to have this anymore or they want to centralize the problems with support tickets…lots of possibilities. I don’t know other than telling you to ask the CSM for their opinion or support…
