Capsuleers.app - The all-in-one toolkit for EVE Online | Killboard - Fitting - Industry - Maps - Intel - Fleet

, ,

Hello everyone

We’ve been building a neutral space, not tied to any corp / alliance / faction, with the goal of becoming a kind of player-driven eHub where you can find useful services and tools in one place (including some ideas we haven’t really seen implemented elsewhere yet).

It’s an ambitious project, and more importantly, it’s open to contribution at any level.

What you can find on capsuleers.app?

  • 30 Tools: Fleet Report, Battle Report, Pilot Intels, Thera/Turnur/Drifter Finder, A new and interactive Sov Map, Live Map (with tracking, killfeed, and more info), Industry tools and much more
  • Games based on EVE knowledges
  • Official FC’s news and Community Articles
  • Videos & Screenshots
  • Content Creator free services as pings and stream overlays
  • The first fully local EO AI assitant
  • An Intel App to make more easy share Dscan&Local scan

Take a look, try it, any feedback or idea are welcome!

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

Time for a proper update. The last one was on 3 September, and quite a lot has landed since — including the thing that was listed as “currently under working” back then.

The new 3D engine is LIVE

This is the big one. Ship rendering no longer runs on a generic WebGL library: it runs on ccpwgl2, the WebGL implementation of CCP’s own Trinity engine. Geometry, materials, shaders and textures all come straight from the game client’s own files — the same assets your EVE client loads.

Huge thanks to @caldariprimeponyclub (tamber), who not only helped us get there but took the time to look at our implementation and point out three real bugs in it. A couple of the problems we hit along the way ended up fixed upstream in ccpwgl2 itself.

You can find it in four places:

  • the fitting editor
  • the killmail detail page
  • the item database datasheets (“View in 3D”)
  • the Paragon Hub SKINR drawer

A few things worth calling out:

  • Weapons are mounted on the hull, taken from the actual fit or the actual killmail — the right turrets, in the right hardpoints, in the right number.
  • Strategic Cruisers render their actual subsystem combination, not the naked hull.
  • Fullscreen mode with the design name, hull and creator.
  • On the profile you can now choose Auto / 3D / 2D — the viewer is ~16 MB of client assets, so if you’re on mobile data or a slow line it degrades to a still image instead of eating your bandwidth. “Auto” measures the connection and decides for you.

Tactical Killboard — a lot of quality-of-life

The killboard shipped in the last update. Since then:

  • Any killmail opens on the site now — including ones older than our 90-day archive window: it falls back to eve-kill for the detail, and the page tells you where the data came from.
  • Copy EFT — one click and the victim’s fit is in your clipboard, ready to paste in game or in our fitting tool.
  • Click to filter. Pilot, corporation, alliance or hull, anywhere on the page — the feed re-filters on the spot and you get an entity header with the full combat/ISK/solo stats. No more losing your place by navigating away.
  • All / Kills / Solo kills / Losses band right above the results. “Solo kills” means the subject was the only human attacker on the killmail — NPCs on the mail don’t disqualify it (a rat shooting while you kill someone doesn’t take the kill away from you). That is deliberately not zkillboard’s solo label: we measured 47,962 killmails in 7 days with a single human attacker, and 57% of them are not labelled solo upstream.
  • “Related kills” — everything that died in the same system in the same hour, from one place, with one definition.

Gate camps, now on the Live Map too

Camp Radar answers “where are the camps in New Eden”. The Live Map now answers “which gate, and on which side”:

  • the camp is drawn on the stargate link itself, on the side of whoever is holding it, with the minutes since the last kill
  • click it and the intel column shows who holds the gate, which hulls they’re in, how many pilots are still on the gate right now, and the kill spark over the last 90 minutes
  • a system can genuinely have two camped gates with opposite verdicts — that’s why the mark sits on the link and not on the system

Camp Radar itself also got a galaxy map with sovereignty colours, so you can see where the camps are rather than just read a list.

Push notifications

Browser push notifications, on desktop and Android. (On iPhone/iPad they only work once the site is added to the Home Screen — that’s an Apple restriction, and the site tells you so.)

Nothing is on by default, you pick what you want:

  • New articles — community editorials, when they’re published
  • Sov timers — star an alliance on the Sov Timers page and you get an alert an hour before, when it starts, and when someone starts scoring
  • Gate camps — pick the systems, or a whole region, and you get a ping when the radar finds a real camp inside them
  • Hunts — build a filter in the Hunting lens, save it, and it becomes an alert. The match happens inside our killmail ingest, so it fires roughly 3 seconds after the kill.

Settings follow your account, not the browser, so what you pick applies on every device you log in from. There’s also a notification centre in the header (so nothing is lost if you had the tab closed) and in-page toasts when you’re already on the site.

Sov Map — right-click a system

Left click still opens the regional live map. Right click now opens an actions menu:

  • open in the live map
  • kills in this system
  • battle report of the last 24h, already framed
  • jump range from here — pick the hull and the JDC level, with the resulting light years shown on each entry (there’s a factor of two between JDC 0 and JDC V, so a single “jump range” entry would have been a lie)
  • highlight the alliance holding it
  • show that system’s timers
  • copy the system name

Both the Sov Map and the Live Map now also mark alliance capital (staging) systems with their own symbol.

Paragon Hub — the SKINR market

Every SKINR design on sale, filterable by hull, class, tier and currency, with PLEX prices converted to ISK so you can actually sort by price across both.

Every listing now shows the real design rendered on the real hull — pre-rendered with the same engine described above — and clicking one opens it in the live 3D viewer where you can rotate and zoom it before spending 600M ISK on it.

Smaller things

  • Killmail archive coverage. We had a couple of bad days (a cluster outage on 6 September cost us ~7,700 killmails). There is now an automatic coverage audit that compares our archive against upstream hour by hour and back-fills whatever the live feed missed. Coverage is back at ~99.9%.
  • Status page at Status — Capsuleers.app services and EVE Online dependencies — the five services we run and the thirteen we depend on, each one saying whether it’s probed or observed. No more guessing whether it’s us or ESI.
  • Item datasheets have a “View in 3D” button.
  • Fitting engine updated, with pyfa-parity checks run against real fits.
  • A long pass on performance and SEO: lighter pages, fewer bytes, faster first paint.
  • Capsuleers.IA (the fully local AI assistant) now rebuilds and publishes its knowledge index automatically instead of by hand.

As always: it’s free, it’s neutral, and feedback or ideas are genuinely welcome — several things in this list exist because somebody in this thread or on our Discord said “this is wrong” or “why can’t I do X”.

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

We’ve rebuilt the Capsuleers.app killboard from the ground up. It’s now split into three tabs: Feed, Hunting Grounds and Camp Radar.

:newspaper: Feed

• One search bar for pilot, ship, system, constellation or region
• Quick filters always in view: space, gang size, timezone
• The 4 most expensive kills in the archive, up top
• Leaderboards follow you as you scroll, by count or by ISK: one click filters the feed
• The table header stays pinned. Click a row to open the killmail

:skull: Killmail detail

The header shows ship, victim, location, time, involved pilots and value. Below it you get the value breakdown (destroyed, dropped, hull, fitted) and plain-language tags (“10+ pilots”, “Nullsec”, “≥ 100B”). Jump straight to the battle report or other kills in the system.

:telescope: Hunting Grounds

Pick a pilot or a ship and find out where and when to catch them, e.g. “Siseide, around 20:00 EVE, mostly on Fridays, usually with ~8 others”. Plus:
• six numbers: kills, systems, solo %, average companions, ISK destroyed, last seen
• a map of their movements and an hour × day grid of when they fly
• Alert me: save the hunt and get a push notification when they get a kill

:satellite: Camp Radar

The gates being camped right now, on the map and as cards. Filter by state (held now, cooling down, probably over) and by space.
Open Who’s there to see:
• pilots, kills, the campers’ losses, average attackers
• what they fly
• who’s still on the gate and who has left, with Intel and Hunt buttons
• the latest kills in the system
At the bottom: Copy names (paste into Local or Pilot Intel) and Watch system, which alerts you when a camp appears there.

Hello ladies and gentleman!

:crossed_swords: Killboard update — it’s live now

The killboard updates itself. New kills slide in at the top of the feed every few seconds, with your filters still applied. Scroll down to read and it pauses; scroll back up and it catches up.

Live killboard on the home page. The latest kills, the kill count, ISK destroyed and the hottest system of the last 24 hours, all updating live.

Search finds anyone. Type a pilot, corporation or alliance: it now finds everyone in New Eden, faster than before, with tickers next to corp and alliance names. If whoever you picked has no kills or losses in our archive, the feed tells you so by name.

Killmail page, reworked:

:round_pushpin: Where it died. The nearest celestial and the distance, e.g. Hakatiz VI - Moon 2 (6,035 km)
:frame_photo: The ship opens as an image for a faster page; press View 3D to load the model
:shield: Click an alliance or corp above the involved list to see only their pilots
:mag_right: No other losses in that fight? The victim’s last 90 days show up in its place
:sparkles: Final blow / top damage and the involved list are cleaner and easier to read

Hello ladies and gentleman!

We released our lastest tool, codename: “Asset Consolidator” :package::

Bring the assets of all your characters into one system. Pick whose assets to move, who hauls them and with which ship, and the tool builds the whole plan.

• Real hold sizes: cargo, fleet hangar and ship maintenance bay come from your actual fit and your pilot’s skills
• Smart hauler assignment: with two or more haulers, each location goes to whoever would finish first. It weighs where the ship is parked, its capacity and its hull, so jump freighters and capitals naturally take low/null and sub-capital haulers take high-sec
• Private 0 ISK contracts between your own characters, grouped per pair, with the in-game steps written out
• Repackaging: unfitted ships shrink to packaged volume. You can also repackage fitted ships (rigs are destroyed, modules travel with the hull). A ship that still won’t fit any hold stays assembled, and the plan tells you why
• Capital routes: for jump-capable ships, choose Safe (every intermediate cyno lands in a system with an NPC station) or Short (fewest jumps)
• Readable route: one leg per row, gate runs folded, every cyno flagged NPC or no station, the cyno count up front and a Copy cyno list button
• Hazards avoided: routes go around active gate camps and insurgency systems, and a saved plan re-computes its routes every time you open it
• Ships you must fly yourself, grouped by station, with ship images
• Asset safety estimates for structures you lost access to
• Save the plan and reopen it from any device. Progress updates automatically from your assets, with no manual ticking

Jump Planner: new option “Make the most of NPC stations” (off by default). Every intermediate cyno prefers a system with an NPC station, even if the route gets longer. It works in shared links too.

Route Finder: add waypoints between origin and destination, reorder them, and share the link. The route goes through each one, in order.

Feedback welcome!

Hello ladies and gentleman!

:crossed_swords: New tool: Fight On

New Eden’s big fights, found automatically and followed live.

Fight On watches the whole cluster and flags real engagements on its own: at least 100 pilots, 10+ ships lost and an average of 8+ attackers per kill. No busy Jita noise, only fights that matter.

What’s inside

:trophy: Scoreboard: the two main sides face to face, ISK destroyed front and centre, fight duration and a bar showing who’s winning the trade
:shield: Automatic sides: alliances and corps grouped by who shoots whom, plus third parties
:rocket: Ship classes on field: EVE overview icons, one per ship, red when lost
:scroll: Live loss feed: click a kill and it opens in a side panel without leaving the page (↑/↓ to browse)
:chart_with_upwards_trend: Fight rhythm: a chart docked at the bottom with pilots involved, kills and ISK per side, minute by minute
:zap: Truly live: hooked to the real-time killmail feed, numbers update as you watch
:bar_chart: Open as battle report: one click and you get the full report, sides and systems already filled in
:link: Shareable link for every fight, desktop and mobile

Hello ladies and gentleman!

Since Fight On landed we’ve rebuilt half the site. Here’s what’s new.

:lady_beetle: Bug reports from the tools: on every tool, when logged in, there’s a button bottom right. Describe the issue, paste or drag up to 3 screenshots, and track it in Profile › Reports (you also get an EVE mail when its status changes)
:identification_card: Character, corp and alliance pages redesigned: one layout for all three, key numbers at a glance, a single 7/30/90-day window for the whole page, career history and member corps with search
:bust_in_silhouette: Profile and Character Overview refreshed: pilot status as tiles, implant rack, setup checklist and “Make main” on alts
:satellite: Intel Scan rebuilt: detects D-Scan or Local as you paste, keeps them as tabs of one report, a ready-to-copy line for comms and a 2D/3D tactical map, fullscreen too
:cyclone: Wormhole class (C1–C6, Thera, Drifter) next to every J-space system, site-wide
:skull: Killboard: pick a pilot, corp or alliance and its header sits on top; from a killmail, “Show system on map”
:rocket: Jump planner: you can now start from highsec (JF out of Jita, Black Ops); a highsec destination suggests the nearest cyno-able system
:link: Link previews: Fight On fights get their own card (system, sides, start time), articles show their cover
:house: Home: a showcase of our apps (Capsuleers.IA, Intel, OBS overlays) and an Arcade with question previews and the podium
:robot: Capsuleers.IA v0.1.62: sharper search, and it now reads community articles too
